Starz’s Torchwood: Miracle Day, a U.S.-based continuation of the hit BBC series, will premiere on Friday, July 8. The series, currently in production in Los Angeles, stars Mekhi Phifer, Bill Pullman and, in an extended guest role, Lauren Ambrose, joined by Torchwood alumni John Barrowman (Capt. Jack Harkness) and Eve Myles (Gwen Cooper).

This sucks. What a waste of a new pay channel. I’m cancelling this garbage. I’ll stick with Netflix and my Cinemax subscription. I love watching dudes hit it from the back soft core style. Hooooooooooogans!
Off to do my squats. If I run not you at the gym don’t talk to me.
Peace.
Wow…Good to go. Have to get Starz now. BTW Ricky, WTF you even posting this for?
Torchwood is a FANTASTIC series. Really excited to see this!!!
About time they brought captain Jack here. Way overdue. I wish the whole cast was back. I know some are dead , but you never know. One of the best written sci-fi shows ever. Can’t wait
Calling Torchwood: Miracle Day “a U.S. installment of the hit BBC series” is somewhat misleading. This fourth season of Torchwood is a BBC/Starz co-production, not a U.S. version of the show (granted, much of the upcoming season does take place in the U.S., but that doesn’t negate the fact that it is a BBC/Starz co-production).
Yawn. I bet thousands of Patheticon fanboys will be tuning in from they’re mothers basements.
Very few British remakes do well here.
Maybe with Barrowman & Myles it could work, but I doubt it.
It’s not a remake. It’s a new story with American actors in some roles.
@NCIS lover – I’m gonna go ahead and guess you are being funny because of your screen name.
The BBC show was uneven, but Children of Earth (last series of the show produced there) was REALLY outstanding.
How’s the internet signal in your mom’s basement?
Outstanding! Mr. Pam Dawber would approve.
NCIS Lover? That says it all.
Great pilot. Was out to a client of mine but it wasn’t right for him. Glad to see even more good TV coming our way.
Maybe cause your client is Ian Zeiring level
O.K. So it’s not an agency that takes care of alien problems,or a spin-off of Dr.Who?
Then it’s not Torchwood.
Call it something else.
Innovative and smart series hits the land of Boss Hawg, Hee Haw, the ever insipid American Idol (really should be renamed American Idle), and Dumb and Dumber. Casting pearls before swine would stand a better chance. Mind the drool… Too bad.
