Former Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles star Thomas Dekker has been cast as the male lead in Kevin Williamson’s drama pilot for the CW The Secret Circle. Written by Andrew Miller and Williamson and based on the book series from L.J. Smith, Secret Circle tells the story of a young woman (Britt Robertson) who moves to a new town and discovers that not only is she a witch and part of a secret coven, but she’s also the key that will unlock a centuries-old battle of good versus evil. Dekker, repped by WME, the Schiff Co. and attorney Harris Hartman, will play a member of the witches’ circle. He will next be seen opposite Diane Lane, Tim Robbins and James Gandolfini in the HBO film Cinema Verite, which chronicles the controversial 1970s PBS documentary series An American Family.
Marisol Nichols has landed a co-starring role in ABC’s dramedy pilot Good Christian Bitches, which stars Leslie Bibb as Amanda, a mother of two and onetime “mean girl” in high school who returns home to Dallas humbled following a scandalous divorce, hoping to get a second chance at winning over her old classmates. Nichols, repped by Paradigm and Impression, will play Amanda’s former classmate Heather, a successful real estate agent who has no gripe with Amanda and is the only one truly happy to have her back.

How good is the Good Christian Bitches script?
It’s okay. Not as funny as it thinks it is.
Agreed. Desperate Housewives did both the drama and comedy sides much better than GCB.
Casting-wise though, Nichols is perfect.
Wonder if the bosses in Tinseltown would greenlight my idea:
“Bad Jewish Whores”
No? Why not? The double-standards of Hollywood are getting old, tired, and far too predictable.
Heard Dekker went raw dog in Glau on the set of Sarah Conner. He would have been perfect for the role of Rick Sniff in the LOGJAMMERS pilot.
AGREED!
Hey Freddy – why don’t you send it to ABC. If you could write worth a damm bet they’d make it. Sadly I suspect you cant write worth sh@t..
Has it occurred to the PTC (or any of the folks kicking up about Good Christian Bitches) that the title might be intended as ironic? Of course it hasn’t. Religious fanatics don’t comprehend irony. It is interesting that there are two Scientologists (Nichols and Jennifer Aspen) in the cast though…
lets reserve “religious fanatics” for people who pummel airliners into buildings. I just see these people as overzealous Christians who don’t have a sense of humor but trust me from experience there’s a gold mine there in the topic.
Ad far as the double standard…I think we can go easier on the Jews and not have TV shows that make fun of them because they’re a small percent of the population and they’ve already had 6 million of their people killed in the holocaust. I think that gives them a pass.
Dekker is awful casting… Ugh.
Dekker is a great actor – so good in Gregg Araki’s recent Kaboom! I’m just worried that his talents will be wasted on a tv-show like this.. But at least the tv-movie Cinema Verite looks like something we’ll be hearing a lot come next awards season.
… Kaboom! was terrible.
Is is me or does Good Christian B….” sound a lot like the movie “Hope Floats” with Sandra Bullock?
They chose that title to do exactly what people are doing – talking about it. I don’t think any other pilot has gotten more press!
Okay, Britt Robertson and Thomas Dekker…now we’re gettin’ somewhere. Keep the level up in the rest of the Secret Circle cast, and we’ve got another Vampire Diaries type hit in the making.
ummm rob dekker is no where near hot enough for that show. Brit robertson was really good in avalon high. But im not gunna watch it if thomas dekker is in it
I love Thomas dekker he’s a pretty good actor and I adore brit so I will definitely be watching. I have no doubt they’ll both be great as Adam and cassie ………….. anyhow hates need to just S.T.F.U. that’s all bye-bye now .
I love Dekker – ‘Terminator; SCC’ ended before it’s time.
I’m Jewish, and, yes, there’s a great reason to be a little more careful with people in smaller, more oppressed groups. I’m sure that the title is meant ironically, both in regards to Christians and tough women; that there are nice Christian people in the show; that the writers are up on feminism and portray women in a balanced, nuanced, enlightened fashion; etc., etc.
And the title has probably been great for getting the pilot attention and helping it go viral. There’s probably an understanding that the TV series will have a different title.
But I still thing it’s mean to hit people over the head with an offensive title like that.
Love Thomas.
Hope he’s character turns out to be gay. He does a great job playing gay.
yeah i think he is … he shoul just be a guest star as a gay witch… lol not the lead role material
Dekker is just bad casting period. He doesn’t fit who adam is supposed to be at all. Hopefully the rest of the cast will make the show watchable.
