As a proud owner of a German Shepherd, I couldn’t resist breaking this story. TLC has picked up Unleashed: K-9 Broward County, a limited six-part series about the the Broward County Sheriff’s Office man-tracking K-9 unit. An extension to TLC’s Police Women of Broward County series, the comedic in tone Unleashed follows Deputy Jerry Wengert, his loyal canine Bali and partner Detective Geoff Brown as they juggle foot chases and dog-food runs. Unleashed, produced by Thinkfactory Media, will premiere April 7 on TLC and will also air on Discovery Channel. On TLC, it will follow a new episode of Police Women of Broward County. This is the third new series launch for Leslie Greif’s Thinkfactory Media in April along with Mounted in Alaska on History and Sinbad: It’s All About Family on WE tv. Greif is exec producing Unleashed with Adam Reed, Kevin Leadingham and Adam Freeman. (Note: Bali is actually a Belgian Malinois, a close relative to the German Shepherd.)

Just watched the show for the first time… had it recorded and this was the first chance I had to watch it. LOVED IT!!! I am ER nurse RN in an inner city level one trauma center. Great show, great team, great sense of humor, too! I hope its renewed…. I think a different time of the year and more advertising would provide a huge following!
