Shortly before Charlie Sheen’s 20-city tour was to kick off tonight in Detroit, the former Two and a Half Men star tweeted: “The moment of truth is upon us Detroit!! Do not fear … the Sheenius is here!” Well, he was right about the moment of truth part. According to local reports, fans who packed the Fox Theatre started walking out shortly after the Sheen’s show started and those who stayed eventually booed the actor off the stage.
Things started off horribly with Sheen’s opening act, Kirk Fox, who was booed so hard, he didn’t finish his set. The same continued during the main attraction, which featured more video clips than actual live show from Sheen. The actor tried to keep his cool, declaring “I’m having a ball, a f**ing good time,” according to Detroit Free Press’ live blog. But he eventually got unnerved, shouting back at a fan, “Sorry dude, I already got your money” before leaving the stage never to return.
Seems like the only “sheenius” here was tour promoter Live Nation’s decision to insert a “no refunds” policy on the tickets. And for all Sheen’s bitching about the quality of the writing on Two and a Half Men, he never looked that bad on the show. He seems to be needing comedy writers for his tour … badly.

What a shocker! Do you think it is possible that all the clever, hilarious things he said on “Two and a Half Men” might have been written by someone else?
I wouldn’t necessarily categorize the dialogue on ‘Two and a Half Men’ as “clever” and “hilarious” but I agree with your point- there is skill and craft involved in writing comedy, something that Charlie Sheen obviously didn’t really understand until his own material turned his biggest fans against him.
Chuck Lorre probably looks like less of a “talentless hack” right now…
To Mr Sheen Sceptic:
They don’t say, ‘Horses for Courses’ for nothing.’
Unfortunately, Mr Sheen – who has definitely lost any gloss he might have once had – is a one trick pony, and at this point, we are looking at ‘One (not two and a half) Stubborn (definitely belligerent) Old (many cracks appearin’) Mule (quite the draft horse these days) who is really only suitable for Maiden Claiming races at Portland Meadows. We are not looking at a Champion Stayer here, as he is a bit ‘quick on the draw,’ although one could suggest, he has really outstayed his welcome out there.
Not sure why anyone with much cerebral matter would want to pay to watch profanity on the hoof? Looks like his public got what they deserved.
For his next surprise act he won’t be sent to Coventry, but to the Circus for, ‘Pin the Tail on the Donkey!’
‘They Shoot Horses Don’t They?’
Sorry, Charlie! So NOT ‘Winning’ !!!
Time to change that tattoo of his to “wiener” to match his public image. He’s more Morlock than Warlock.
Da Plane Boss, You are the definition of a hack. Go hire a writer, like Sheen should.
Timmy, go fall in a well.
yeah he is. Most folks I know in MI would not go to this.
As a password said some are “startruck” in fly over country.
But Charlie was smart, he picked up enough money in Detroit to finance Snoop Dog for Chicago, maybe NY.
Suckkkkkkkkkkkkers.
People who go to a Charlie Sheen show will be… Duh, #BOOING
What’s the over/under on how quickly the remaining tour dates get canceled after this train wreck?
The tour dates aren’t going to be canceled. The shows are sold out & there are no refunds on them. If you bought a ticket, you are clearly a fool because this is a guy who can’t communicate unless it has been written beforehand.
Is there really anything to say to this.
OH wait.. nay nayna booboo, to all silly people that paid money to see this train-wreck.
I don’t know who is the biggest loser.. the one performing or the one that paid to see it.
He’s already got the $7 million.
They’re getting that show.
The losers are pretty easy to ascertain.
I guess Bree Olson’s gonna reconsider her choices, she only lets winners put it in the butt.
LOL
Charlie is officially in Hell. Imagine facing the fact that you’re likely destined to experience the same reaction nineteen more times before you can quit. Just the pressure a teetering-on-the-brink drug addict needs. Hell.
do you think there will be another show? my guess is that they’ll refund the money and the remainder of the dates will be canceled. no one’s gonna buy another ticket now…
They don’t need anyone to buy anymore tickets…all 20 shows are already sold out…the show in NYC sold out it 15 minutes after tix went on sale…
Agreed. Charlie is definitely gonna hit the pipe tonight…
#losing
Didn’t see that coming…..
LMAO, you can’t make this shit up. Those ‘fans’ or his enablers deserved what they got which was crap.
…Duh!
So the question now becomes: will he (1) cancel the remaining shows, (2) continue on with the same format and material, bullishly insisting that he is brilliant and all the fans booing are “trolls” who aren’t winning, or (3) actually take a thoughtful look at the criticism, admit that it is true, and craft a live show that is entertaining and cohesive?
I’m betting on (2).
And don’t forget, option 1 would likely involve returning a large sum of money to the promoter (and we know that ain’t happening). So I’m with you on #2…
I’m betting a bad night results in another trip to the hospital. Someone big and strong should be watching him or he won’t be able to crawl onstage.
Or 4) Get on the phone with some Two and a Half Men writers and beg them to rewrite your dreck.
I encourage everyone in all of the upcomming audiences to do the same thing..
Hmmmmm…what did these people think they were paying to see? I thought they just wanted to see him in person and didnt care what ge dud as long as they could say they were in the same room with Charlie Sheen?
People don’t know what they want.
God..what do you do after this?
Karma for everyone involved. Why would you spend your money enabling a misogynistic douchebag in the first place, audience?
VERY well said.
Second that.
Natural selection, is it not?
Hey Charlie, maybe you can find a writer who is still speaking to you and get them to write something really fast for your upcoming shows. I hope you finally realize why they are important!
Is it finally over bro? Just quite while you’re behind.
LOSING.
Lost your tiger blood.
You’re no longer some kind of warlock idiot, just an idiot.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, the world is no longer laughing with you Charlie boy, but at you.
He’s brilliant – he got 7 MILLION dollars for NOTHING!!! The idiots are the folks that ponied up over a hundred dollars and an evening of free time. This is the first time in this unbelievable saga that I think for a moment, he has a blip of sanity. He’s getting 7 MILLION for NOTHING! The question is why, but I’d take the money, and have a stadium full of angry people…
Coming soon, “A Face In the Crowd”. The remake. Starring Charlie Sheen as himself.
Wow. There may be hope for humanity. But those people DID buy tickets so maybe it’s just a wash.
Emilio you are a mean mean mean guy (and a bad big brother..boo) ! lol
But anyway i am with Charlie no matter what..the problem is he prepared his tour in less than 3 weeks..even freaking veteran comedians can’t do that..moreover some people came to see him i don’t know to crash and burn like a “trainwreck” (dito medias and haters) or to see Charlie Harper..so it was really hard to WIN in these conditions..but Charlie knows this biz..it can be really hard to face an audience who expect..well who expect very much..really really hard..and he chose to take the risk..
Now Charlie don’t give up, show them you can do it, you are stronger than that..take a writer to help you restructure your storytelling and add the great colorful one-liners (who are far more smart, poetic and ironic than any Chuck Lorre could ever do..sorry and i like Two and Half men and Big Bang Theory..but it is not Sorkin type of sharp dialogue come on..the actors are really good at delivering and yeah it can be hilarious but smart and subtle..not so much) than you only can create and deliver.
Ok you screwed up this night and people were harsh but you still have lot’s of people behind you, who root for you, don’t forget.
But anyway i am with Charlie no matter what..the problem is he prepared his tour in less than 3 weeks..
“Prepared”???? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! That’s rich!
even freaking veteran comedians can’t do that
Nor should they. Lucy, sweetheart, there’s a thing called “professionalism” and “honing your craft”. I would not want nor expect the likes of George Carling (RIP) to just saunter on stage and wing it (although Carlin probably could). I would not expect the Rolling Stones to mount a tour without weeks of rehearsals. I would not expect the New England Patriots to start their season in September without months of practices.
so it was really hard to WIN in these conditions..but Charlie knows this biz..it can be really hard to face an audience who expect..well who expect very much..really really hard..and he chose to take the risk.
What? Did someone put a gun to his head? Is he broke, starving and about to be kicked out on the street? Unless you are trolling, I need to tell you that this mess is totally of his own making.
Loser guys always call female commenters “honey” and “sweetheart” when they’re threatened by the comment. Can’t stand Charline Sheen but you’re a loser and an idiot, too. DARLING.
He’s going to need a lot of drugs to get through this tour.
This would be why we have writers. (A point Zack Snyder might also want to consider.)
My client is very disappointed that so many losers paid to see him tonight. He was expecting winners and warlocks and assassins, winning people who wanted to see him stick it to the man. Charlie was great but the audience sucked. We plan on screening all future audiences to make sure we only get winners we don’t want any more losers demanding refunds. There will be no refunds on this tour. If you’re a loser don’t come to the show stay home and mope.
Great post! And surprisingly witty for an “agent”. I’m sure you’ll find Charlie’s new career trajectory a “titanic” success!
You are an idiot.
I agreee with Charlie’s Agent… What did people expect???? Anything different then what was being said on TV news channels???
This is Charlie and what he thinks, feels, and wants to comment about…
I would have been disappointed if he had writers and was reading from a telepromter….. Is that what all of you in The Motor City wanted to hear and see…. Charlie spewing out words that were not his??? Keep going Charlie and finish your Shows and the Hell with what people say…. People are fickle, they say they want a winner, in the real world, most people do not know what they want.. You gave them what they paid for, they wanted to see Charlie Sheen and that is what they got… You never, said that this show would be a rehearsed Dog And Poney Show… What you gave them was real… Like It Or Not…
BRAVO!!! I could not have said it better!!! Charlie Is Fortunate To Have You For An Agent…. KEEP THE SHOWS GOING AND TO THE PEOPLE STAY HOME, IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO HEAR CHARLIE’S WORDS… HE NEVER SAID HE WOULD BE SPEAKING ANY OTHER PERSONS WORDS…. GET OVER IT !!!!
As they say, everyone needs to hit bottom. After a while, everyone needs to ask themselves, “is it everybody else who needs to change, or is it me?”
although there is no chance in hell i would have ever gone to this show, now, after reading about it, i am kind of sorry i missed it.
