I’m in the Band was one of the funniest shows Disney ever aired. Kids/parents say they love it at every school function I attend with my kids. Smart show that made the growing XD brand stronger, not a smart move for a network known for laughless half-hours.
Myself and my 13 year old daughter live in the Uk and we absolutely LOVE I’m in the band ! We have been emailing anyone who will listen, to plead with Disney to reconsider. We just cannot see any reason why they cancelled this brilliant show

We’re going need a bigger bag of oranges…to beat Mickey upside the head for doing this to us. I dont know what they were thinking when Disney made this desicion. As you have said many people love this programme and I for one never miss an episode, or a repeat for that matter. I know all the words to all of the songs because I have watched them so many times, and I’m still not bored. Even the cast haven’t been told why their show is cancelled which gives me real empathy for them, being out of a job when you don’t even know why must feel really horrible. I cannot see a reason for Disney to cancel this show. It’s funny and silly but you can really connect with the characters too. I think when this show first aired it created a lot of positive buzz about Disney with many people calling it the only good thing from Disney, but cancelling the show will have the opposite effect and cause many people to dislike them. I hope they see this and make the right desicion. We have to keep fighting because one of my other favourite shows was saved because lots of people signed petitions and the channel made another series so we can do something. Save IITB and let Iron Weasel make their comeback!!
exactly! I’m in the Band was the only show that made me literally laugh out loud. Other shows on Disney only made me chuckle a couple of times an episode, and the humour is kind of amateur and child-ish.. (the regular Disney shows, i mean)
But yeah, everytime i see I’m in The Band on tv, i watch it. Doesn’t matter if it’s an episode I’ve already watched 5 times.

This is a horrible decision. All of these Disney-owned networks drop their good, popular shows to make room for jokes of television. This is utterly ridiculous.

I’m sorely disappointed by the cancellation of “I’m in the Band”. I guess Disney XD couldn’t support a show that doesn’t fit its cookie-cutter model. A couple of the great things about the show:
– Characters of every age have equal weight in importance to the plot and ridiculousness or their behavior — and the main multi-aged characters interact wholly differently from the usual “teacher/student” or “parent/child” hierarchy.
– Capturing the free-spirited rocker lifestyle with entertaining humorous activities that entirely substitute for drug and alcohol abuse.
– Original music nearly always presented in realistic contexts, rather than as a magical fantasy like nearly every other kids’ show with music.
If you haven’t seen the show, a great episode to start with is
“Iron Weasel: The Video Game”, featuring the remarkable character of Ms. Dempsey (played by G. Hannelius), the 10-year-old video game designer.
This is ridiculous. IITB is a hilarious show, so completely different from anyother that disney shows. Anyone of any age can watch it and enjoy it – both me (14) and my 51 year old dad manage to laugh out loud at it (and it takes a lot to make my dad laugh). IITB is also very inspiring: the band show that you can be semi famous rock stars and still have fun (although sometimes they have a little TOO much fun). All I can say is I hope that disney recognise and correct their mistake (cancelling IITB) before its too late. And even if they do carry on regardless (lol) of what we think, maybe one day they will get their comback and return to the air like futurama. Rock on weasles

I’m in the band was the only show that I watched faithfully on Disney. The rest of their programming is LAME at best. I bet that if this show was on Teen Nick it would still be on. The show followed a format more like the great shows like iCarly and Drake & Josh. Disney is making a huge mistake cancelling this show. It was filled with great jokes and characters that you absolutely fall in love with. It reminded me of the Three Stooges and This is Spinal Tap. Really, can it get any better than that??? I will miss it very much

This show is awesome. With most of the other long-time shows like Wizards of Waverly Place and Suite life on Deck and Hannah Montana ending you’d think that they would keep this around. Unless they have decided that this wasn’t aiming towards the right audience or something. I guess now all we’ll have to choose from are lame tween shows that will not even be as remotely funny as this one.

you know I have been watching disney shows since I was eight and I’ve seen shows come and go, some in which I was glad left and some I was kinda sad about. But when I saw previews for some episodes of this show I didn’t think it would be awesome then I gave it a chance and now I love it and the mere thought of it leaving makes me feel horrible, even my friend that hates a lot of shows was laughing at this show and thought it was awesome. If this show is really gonna leave I refuse to watch XD anymore, you guys should realize that some people like this show and are willing to do what it takes, and this is my very first comment to try to stop this, because I love this show so much…people are gonna be very mad, and bummed.
My kids and I watch I’m in the Band all the time!! We absolutely love this show!! Yesterday my 16 year old daughter was sooooo mad that it is no longer on the On-Demand list of shows. Why in the world would Disney cancel the most hilarious show they have??????? Come on Disney, wake up and realize this is one show that cannot be cancelled!!!!!!

i agree with you kristen disney should cancel somthing els and keep i’m in the band for up to 7 more series’s.
i might know why since they added kickin it on monday night mayhem there is 4 shows on most nights (zeke and luther pair of kings kickin it and im in the band) that would have kids up till 10 pm and all those shows are rated Y7 so they wouldnt want 7 year olds to be up at 10 pm on school nights
oh yeah and i forgot they canceld zeke and luther too so now the kids would be up until 9 pm so disney is REALLY STUPID
This is is absolutely riduculous. Disney are ending all their main shows like Wizards and now they pull a dumb stunt like cancel a popular show that clearly everyone loves (the comments here alone prove that and that’s just a percentage of the large fanbase this show that can target all ages has) Then they replace them with a bunch of new sub-par replacements that won’t be as popular. Disney are losing fans and thus money from from all the stupid decisions they are making at the moment (remember Aaron Stone, that got cancelled because apparently it wasnt comedy enough -__- ). Now Disney XD is going to have to rely on just Pair of Kings since that is the only decent thing left.
