Elisabeth Harnois, who co-starred on CBS’ Miami Trauma, will be joining the cast of another CBS/Jerry Bruckheimer drama as a regular, the mothership CSI series. She was originally signed to guest star in the May 5 episode as the estranged daughter of Conrad Ecklie (Marc Vann), who works for the Los Angeles Police Department and helps the Las Vegas crew hunt down serial killer Nate Haskell (Bill Irwin). The guest stint grew into a bigger role on the show. She was expected to return for more episodes and has now been upgraded to a full-blown regular status on the show. Veteran CSI, now in its 11th season, has not been officially renewed for next season, but that is considered a foregone conclusion. Harnois, whose series credits also include Point Pleasant, Dirt and One Tree Hill, recently starred in the Disney movie Mars Needs Moms and will next be seen in Riddle opposite Val Kilmer. She’s with WME and Schachter Entertainment.

She’s a delightful young lady, who is absolutely deserving of this opportunity. Elisabeth was a child star who blossomed into a talented, hardworking, professional adult, unlike the other train wrecks in Hollywood. Its nice to see that happen once in awhile.
Thank goodness they added another woman. Hopefully, MH will reconsider bailing and do a part-time stint next year.
The CBS drama was actually called “Miami Medical”, not that anyone actually watched it except for me.
I watched it!
I’m kind of hoping they let CSI die soon, it’s just a shell of its former self. The past couple seasons haven’t been nearly as good as the William Petersen years.
Make that the EARLY William Petersen years, not so much Season 5 by which time he seemed to be phoning it in. I watch it off-and-on and it’s not nearly as good as it used to be. “NCIS” is much better, as is “Castle” on ABC.
I agree.. 11 season is enough; let it go in pieces LOL
She’s a very talented actress. For those who don’t know her, I recommend watching ‘Keith’– it’s on Netflix. The trailer makes it seem horrid, but it’s actually very well done and Elisabeth is fantastic in it.
I remember EH from Miami Medical (aka Miami Trauma). She is an outstanding talent and a great addition to CSI. Great new blood. More aging shows should do this with young talent to breathe new life into the show.
So would you rather see another crappy reality show. I still watch it and enjoy it, if you don’t like it, change the channel, I’m sure the ever talented Kardashians are on somewhere.
Bruce F … I watched it and loved it! Great show … should still be on! CBS sux!
CSI is still on? I stopped watching in 08. The show was going downhill before William Petersen left. His departure was the final straw for me.
and yet here you are making comments about it
Let’s not forget “Point Pleasant”…for Fox.
Oh my god. Is this CBS’s solution to everything — throw a young blonde at the wall and see if she sticks?
That was my end-all solution, until I was sent to prison.
OMG how true… New season New Barbie to fill in the gap. I’m sick of the stereo type these Hitlerites of Hollywood are shoving down everyone’s throats. Not everyone in the world is blonde haired, blue eyed and over five six. There are some very pretty and very talented Latin American’s that could have worked in their as well.
I don’t know why we need another female [another blonde to boot] added when they had Sofia Curtis they could have brought back full time. I hope they don’t bump Sara off for lead CSI for this one coming in; after 11 years Sara deserves to at least take over Catherine’s role.
I think EH will do great. She is a beautiful, talented young actress who needs a break in her career on television. I think she’ll get a fair chance at a full season of CSI. I believe that the twelfth season of CSI should be its final season. But they did say they would do a feature film with Grissom after the show ends, so Grissom won’t be gone forever.
Elisabeth is a great actress. Loved her in Miami Medical. This will definitely breath new life into the show. We stopped watching when Laurence Fishburne stepped in, but will start to watch this show again. We like Laurence, but did not think this was the right role for him. Not sure how Ted Danson will fit in, but we are excited about Elisabeth joining the cast.
