Netflix announced Friday that it has amended and expanded its agreement with 20th Century Fox to add more titles from Fox’s TV and movie library. That includes streaming Season 1 of Glee and the first two seasons of FX’s Sons of Anarchy, with additional seasons available annually. Older shows like Ally McBeal and The Wonder Years also will stream instantly for the first time. Additionally, Fox will make a number of library movies available to Netflix after their premium pay TV license periods end.
“Our expanded non-exclusive streaming arrangement with Netflix maintains Fox’s flexibility to effectively manage both the content we offer, and the appropriate window of availability relative to our other distribution partnerships,” said Peter Levinsohn, president of new media and digital distribution for Fox Filmed Entertainment. “We look forward to working with Netflix and our other partners to further enhance the choices available to audiences.”

Oh my God I’ve been dying to watch SoA now I got the first two season s on Instant. But I don’t understand why they didn’t just put the third season up as well
The wonder years!Omg!Yes!Yes!
I’m very pleased to see that Netflix is expanding its services. And I supposed that streaming is the future. But at the moment, the quality of Bluray is better than that of streaming. It’s a fact. Bluray on Netflix is a premium service that has an additional surcharge, and yet Netflix has been remiss in stocking up on catalog titles that are making their way onto the HD format. And I’m not talking about obscure titles. “Alien” “Back to the Future” “Bridge on the River Kwai” “The Sound of Music” “Modern Times” and in the coming days “Taxi Driver.”
I realize it’s a service I don’t need to pay for. But I WANT to pay for it. I WANT to see those titles on the best format available. It’s the primary reason I subscribe to Netflix. Keep expanding. Keeping making deals with studios and acquiring programming. That’s terrific. But is it really too much to ask that they stock a few Bluray copies of “Back to the Future” as well?
I am curious why these studios keep feeding the Netflix fire if they say it is putting them out of business. Make them spend the money and buy the goddamn dvds to ship out to people then. netflix uses this fear to leverage the studios against each other… what a joke
Victoria Jackson disapproves!
Blueray isn’t worth the netflix surcharge. Low supply and neutered netflix disks.
Will the Wonder Years discs have edited soundtracks? That was the sticking point preventing DVD release.
Kevin, ‘Wonder Years’ won’t be on a disc. They will be streaming content through Netflix.
Any hope for “Chicago Hope” and further seasons of “Picket Fences”? What other series are FOX offering?
