Billy Crystal, Rob Reiner and Helen Mirren starred in this mock trailer for the When Harry Met Sally sequel, which premiered on Funny Or Die. Pretty witty stuff and more evidence that despite all her accolades and regal standing, Mirren is game for anything.

Didn’t see that coming…
This is so sad. Crystal and Reiner have lost their way they no longer know what’s funny and what’s not. They could have done a really insightful and hilarious spoof without the idiotic vampires and zombies. They have lost all touch with humor and comedy. All they needed was Billy and Helen in the old age home. Why veer off into sheer idiocy? It was gross and disgusting and moronic. What the hell happened to you guys? You should redeem yourselves by doing a real 20 years later sequel to Harry and Sally but that would take effort and discipline. You guys have lost your way.
Wow, get over yourself.
The entire point is that everything that gets made these days veers off into sheer idiocy. It’s call satire.
I’m sorry you got a tummy ache watching the old people suck blood. This was something we like to call “a joke”.
Who pissed in your Wheaties?
This short was genius! I laughed my ass of the whole way through. The twist totally caught me off guard and had me and all my co-workers rolling. And the point of the piece Mr. Pathetic and Stupid is that when audiences fail to demand more from studios than the same old conventions they use over and over again we are left with nothing more than pathetic and stupid.
of course you are entitled to your opinion, but i think you missed the point of this wonderfully funny, well executed short and its commentary on the studio system of today,
Oh go watch “Something’s Gotta Give” and shush. This is actually interesting.
Thought it was so well done…until the reveal, which completely ruined it for me. Should’ve ended around the 2 min mark.
the reveal and what followed was imo what turned something that was already funny into a true classic! not only was this short one of the funniest i’ve ever seen, but it also made an important point about the state of movies today. well done!!!
i loved this hilarious short – especially the reveal and what followed. it cracked me up and made a great point. bravo!
Billy’s daughter directed it – So funny. She worked on the daily show..
Way too long. Suffered from Saturday Night Live syndrome, beating the concept into the ground and stomping the wit out of it. That being said, Helen Mirren is awesome in general.
So NOT FUNNY on every level. The only thing curious about it is that Helen Mirren would want to be involved with these has-beens.
Would have been funnier if vampires were the desperate idea coming from Crystal and Reiner to sell their over the hill sequel to a younger audience.
Let me help you with this.
The subversive message of the piece is that today’s Hollywood Execs. would screw up a movie as solid as “When Harry Met Sally”.
no they’d just remake it with natalie portman and ashton kutcher. thankfully that could never ever happen. oh wait sorry it already did. no strings attached, friends with benefits, both the same exact movie and neither one is as funny as when harry met sally.
But that’s NOT the message, is it? They’re screwing up a SEQUEL to “When Harry Met Sally.” A very pointless, ill-advised sequel.
So Hollywood is screwing up a stupid idea with another stupid idea.
Ergo, the joke doesn’t play.
Put me firmly in the “not at all funny” camp.
“So Hollywood is screwing up a stupid idea with another stupid idea. Ergo, the joke doesn’t play.”
You mean the joke doesn’t play because it comes off like a documentary?
Helen Mirren has Always been game for anything!
She was in “Caligula” for crying out loud!
loved it!!!! so funny, can’t believe how much i laughed in four minutes!
Up until the reveal, I thought it was great.. honestly, if it had been about love in a retirement community with the twist being flashbacks or something.. I would be there. Actually the first two minutes pretty close to brilliant. Then the reveal made it plummet downhill.
Funny, those who rushed to post didn’t have the slightest idea of what was actually being spoofed.
UGH. Too long, not very funny, too long.
Not the best. All the celebrities were great, and made it watchable. The rest was pretty stupid. Although I do think the idea of becoming a vampire when youre really old has some potential.
I got the spoof of modern-day Hollywood. It just wasn’t funny.
Call me lame, but it gave me a few chuckles to see Mirren being so game, and the dentures bit was hilarious. Good going guys!
love Helen…but Meg Ryan wasn’t available? Woulda been great is Sally hadnt died….her sexual climax in a restaurant as an 80 year old…would have been classic
This piece is genius! Great writing, acting and directing capture the feel of the original (miraculously on an FOD budget) with a brilliant twist that caught me completely off guard.
I think Helen Mirren was hilarious in this clever piece, and Billy Crystal was great, too. I found it funny on EVERY LEVEL!
I loved it! This was one of the funniest shorts I’ve ever seen, and I respectfully question whether you really understood its point.
Didn’t work.
I thought this might’ve been funny… until it became a vampire movie. Now I expect to see Billy Crystal pulling moronic comedy, but Helen Mirren is a talented actress. This isn’t intelligent comedy, it’s a satire (which I realize is supposed to moronic). And that kind of acting doesn’t require any acting skill as we have seen proof in any Adam Sandler and Ben Stiller movie. Helen is so brilliantly talented and I am surprised she would lower her expectations like that.
