Relativity Media has released a teaser trailer for its Tarsem Singh-directed Immortals. Considering all the buzz surrounding Henry Cavill and what kind of Superman he’ll make in Man of Steel, the teaser gives you a good idea. He plays Theseus in Immortals, which will be released Nov. 11.

After the brilliant THE FALL I’m excited to see anything Singh does, but this looks more like 300 than THE FALL.
This. Looks. AWFUL.
Say WHAAAAAAT?!
He didn’t even have to reload that bow and arrow. Maybe it has a switch for Automatic-Spray!
Like a machine gun that shoots golden arrows!!!!!!!!!
So much cheese. And Cavill with the weakest, screechiest, and least rousing delivery of a speech ever.
Completely agree. I was actually shocked how unimpressive and lacking in presence he seems to be. Yikes.
Looks pretty cool. Love this type of stuff. But it doesn’t feel like a movie that would come out in November. Then again I thought it was wierd that 300 came out in March.
Fuck.Yeah.
Gonna be so awesome
Well its about time they remade 300!
match.point
I like the look. Tarsem is always great that way. Hopefully there is enough of a story here for him to finally make a good film.
From the producers of 300 comes 400.
Cavill’s acting was very eyeopening. Atrocious and mortifying.
I HAD NO IDEA HENRY CAVILL WAS SUCH A PISSPOOR ACTOR.
THIS IS JUST EMBARRASSING.
Is it really fair to judge his acting in an entire film based on a trailer where he mostly leaps, stands, fires arrows, and delivers a speech–half of which is off screen?
yes
I thought this was a spoof of 300. It’s real?
Honestly, I was very, very surprised at how bad the acting was. This movie seems a bigger mess than The Cell. Maybe it is because this is Tarsem’s first 3D movie, but the composition of these scenes is awkward and has a Syfy network flavor.
This will make a lot of money overseas regardless like Troy, but it looks very poorly done. Like a watery version of 300.
I like the director but this looks like the unholy love child of 300 and Troy. Coolest thing I saw was the release date, 11-11-11.
Relativity sure is “re-inventing the wheel”!
This looks HORRIBLE. Why does Relativity continue to produce such shit movies? Someone please tell me?
Glad to see my childhood favorite weapon of choice (next to the nunchucks) finally get the big screen adaption. The energy bow is the stuff of legends. Advanced D&D.
Not sure about the trailer. Too much 300 and green screen. Would have been better if more along the lines of HBO Rome as far as grit. I agree with a previous post that the speech was tuurrible in the trailer.
Looks like a goofy knockoff of 300, with dreadful performances. I’m sorry, but Cavill only impresses here with how awful he is.
Everything that once felt fresh about 300, feels tired here and poorly executed, including the abundance of sloooooow-mo, and dingy coloring scheme.
soooooooo true, why not just call it Clash of A Hundred and splice together portions of both films?
that helmet definitely makes it look like the girl is getting her throat slit by a giant bunny rabbit.
I was surprised by this. Not what I expected but in a good way. Also don’t be too quick to judge this. I remember seeing the first 300 trailer and thinking it looked like garbage. But I ended up liking that film for what it was.
You dumb down your audience long enough you get this kind of mindless dreck. Irrelevant and built to draft on the success of an original idea, 300, this is the kind of decision by committee project that undermines intellectual prowess and conditions us to the basest of human expression; sex, violence and horrible death. What a waste of money.
Egad. Embarrassing. What the heck is the deal? Mythology can be done so much better than this. Clash of the Titans was already enough of an atrocity. People don’t seem to realize — more realism (including battle scenes), psychological detail, not more cartoonish, oversaturated, implausible nonsense — is what would make this source material more interesting. The tension between the fantastic and the believable. If it all looks like — and sounds like — and feels like — a video game — who cares? Why not just go play a video game, instead?
hahahahahaha… Clash + 300 = steaming pile of s**t
it’s 300 in 3D… so it’s… 900.
Where to begin?
Is he a super hero? Why is he flying? Who are they? Who are they fighting? Why? Are they in ancient Greece? India?
And are you just counting on everyone who sees this movie to be too young to know you completely ripped off that glowing repeater bow from the old D&D cartoon?
Incidentally, does anything about that guy say “Superman” to anyone? Sorry Zac I think I’ll just stay home and re-read Birthright.
Would be curious to know who the execs were behind this…
I think it’s high time we start calling them out for “their work”.
