Daniel Radcliffe isn’t waiting to take his final Harry Potter bows to extend his career into adulthood. Saw him on Broadway in How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, and he is quite good onstage. Now, Momentum Films and Exclusive Media Group’s Hammer has released a teaser trailer for Radcliffe’s first post-Potter feature, The Woman In Black. Radcliffe plays a young lawyer who travels to a mysterious house to settle the affairs of the spooky mansion’s owner. The film is eyeing a February 2012 release.

This was a pretty fantastic script. Good choice for Radcliffe, though I do worry he might be too young for that role. But he looks older in the trailer, so that may not matter. Can’t wait to see it!
Looks like a comedy. Daniel Radcliffe is the new Mark Hamill.
Wow, more than a little envious and bitter are we?
Whoa, first time I’ve jumped in the middle of watching a trailer in a long long time. Awesome!
Jumped?! from what?
switch to decaf
Thank You…I couldn’t figure out what made Anon jump either…might be more than caffeine?
This is a GREAT story and an excellent choce for Radcliffe. Not too much of a departure yet and still likely appealing to his fan base.
Seriously this story is actually scary, not dumb horror gross scary.
Dull deriviative script. Remake of TV movie. Bad casting. Equals Magnolia VOD release. Maybe IFC if they are lucky.
The ‘Teaser in Black’ describes this trailer.
It may be a great story…but, this trailer does not get my attention…time will tell.
I will be open minded for the first 30 minutes. HE’s got Harry Potter credit with me.
I just saw the play in London last week (for the second time) and Radcliffe is an excellent choice. But the major role is Mr. Daily, who story is told. And not sure who the actor is in that role. Great story, and with this cast this could be a excellent film.
And I see Janet McTeer has a small role and she is wonderful….looks like a winner!
The Mr. Daily role is played by Ciaran Hinds, an excellent dramatic Irish actor…over here the biggest film role that I remember seeing him in was Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day opposite Frances McDormand…a cute period romantic comedy. He would be an excellent Mr. Daily
The Woman In Black is one of the creepiest ghost stories ever written. The original is a classic and this one looks just as good. Radcliffe has been a very solid actor and his talents will move way beyond Harry. Can’t wait.
Not sure what to expect when I saw it was only 47 seconds but it was effective.
I saw the play the “The Woman in Black” in London and it was absolutely the most terrifying stage performance I’ve ever experienced. The whole audience was on edge. It’s incredibly scary on stage. I hope that same intensity will translate onto the screen with Radcliffe. Great story, great book. I’ve always wanted to see an updated film version of this. The teaser doesn’t reveal much, but I’m optimistic.
