from the Barbie movie star collection….try another facial expression Taylor.
He’s Dolph Lundgren all over again…
Those making b-flix can start wetting their chops. Taylor will be falling to you sooner than later.
LOL. “Who are these people?”
Acting 101 – Put some emotion into the line.
I just don’t understand… how bad were the other takes?
I was lucky (read: unlucky) enough to see several of the dailies and early rough cuts of several scenes.
There’s no word to accurately describe how awful his acting is in the footage that was thrown out.
If this movie is even watchable, the editor deserves an academy award for making his scenes coherent.
the single greatest achievement in the history of cinema. everyone else can go home.
That is awesome.
This movie looks like an SNL parody of a movie. Do you even remember when you first sold out, John Singleton?
From BOYZ IN THE HOOD to this crap in a mere 20 years… the de-evolution of social commentary.
So true. Looks like somebody did an instant, teen-friendly remake of “Hanna” with a hilariously untalented flavor-of-the-week, but safely Hollywoodized anything even remotely interesting out of it so the movies would fall into place at exact opposite ends of the spectrum.
Man, if only Taylor Lautner was not in this. That kid can NOT act… Can any part of his face move besides his mouth? I swear he has the same look on his face in every scene.
Taylor Lautner makes Keanu Reeves look like Marlon Brando
Oh man. Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, Alfred Molina. Coulda been such a good cast. But Mr. Lautner is just not a good actor.
Taylor’s PR team needs to get rid of this trailer ASAP. I haven’t seen such one dimensional acting since Paul Walker…oh wait. on second thought, Taylor’s career might be ok.
At least they surrounded him with well respected actors
Oh dear. How much did they pay him for this?
$7 million. I’m sure the buyer’s remorse kicked in by his second day on set.
Yeah sure. Giving a nearly no-name actor without any proof that he can carry a movie so much movie.
This actually looks good…
Oh Sigourney… you’re so much better than this!
this generation’s jackie chan
An undeserved insult to Jackie Chan IMHO.
That’s mean… to Jackie Chan.
story is interesting – seems like a fresh take. i like lily collins – she’s fun to watch. i hope it does well!
This looks kinda awesome, although I couldn’t completely understand the premise.
Good to see John Singleton back in the director’s chair after an 8-year hiatus.
For brief moments, it starts to look good. And then he tries to emote. Well, emote from behind exactly the same facial expression.
cannot carry his own film…how many times was he told that…travolta, yes; cruz, yes; lautner, no.
I’m sure you’re aware this is his first post-Twilight project. How can you say he cannot carry his own film without having even seen it?
Typical cynical Deadline commenter. Get a life, or some self-esteem.
Penelope Cruz has carried a film before?
She carried all of Pedro’s films – and did quite well.
You know the saying “serious as a heart attack”? Well, based on Taylor’s angry look, i think he looks as serious as a pimple here.
Bourne Identity?
Hollywood, thanks for your formulaic crap.
Bourne Begins
i heard the razzies are moving up to sept 24th.
I’m not buying it at all. My next film will be Hesher.
Loved the trailer! Long road to a top billing for Taylor and it looks like the commitment has paid off! We can’t wait to see the movie and will be getting tickets on Fandango as soon as they are available.
Wasn’t going to comment, but your post is the WORST agency-plant I’ve seen in a long time.
I’m glad you “loved!” the trailer. Has it really been a “long road to top billing”??…b/c the kid looks 18 years-old. But I guess I’m glad his “commitment has paid off.”
And thanks for telling everyone where/when you and all your non-friends are going to buy tickets. As if that matters…
At least TRY next time.
Taylor doesn’t need agency plants to do well. If you had three teenage girls in the room with you when you watched the trailer, you would know this.
I get the kid is good looking … but with that voice? Am I really supposed to go along for the ride that Taylor is an action hero?
Wow, they managed to cut together a half appealing trailer for this fucking trainwreck. Saw it, it’s unbelievably awful. But the test audience of young teens loved it and cheered at every action beat, so what do I know?
This kid has the best agent in town.
That looks like it would be a really cool movie if another actor were playing the lead.
