• Waiting for the series finale! I guess that every ten years they can put together a couple of two hour specials from this crap with some really funny stuff.

• I think he’s a horrible actor and he’s not funny. Once he found out his career as a solo artist was going nowhere he had to take a different avenue.

  • Are you serious?His solo career was going nowhere?His first solo album sold 10 million copies and his second one sold 14 million.And unlike a lot of artists who put out crappy albums every other year, he actually spaced 4 years between his albums and they contained quality music.

    I think he’s a very good actor and he’s very funny.He’s great on SNL.You may not like him and think he’s a bad actor.That’s debatable, and your opinion, but it is completely false to say his music career tanked.

  • Helen Mirren is a gifted actress, but she was mediocre on SNL. Helen couldn’t handle the comedy and the impressions. Mirren was almost as bad as Robert De Niro & Sean Penn when they hosted SNL. Not every talented actor can host SNL. The only SNL hosts that truly impressed me in recent years are : Jon Hamm, Anne Hathaway, and Justin Timberlake.

• JT should be on SNL every week. He’s great on the show. Too bad it’s the finale though because this season has been awful.

• Poor JT sent in to save a sinking ship. Please SNL fire everyone and hire some new fresh talent that don’t beat a joke into the ground or stick with characters and or skits that are clearly not funny. Weekend update needs an over haul as well. I am sick of watching Seth smirk at his own lame jokes.

  • I’ve watched SNL for 15 years. I agree this season has been pretty poor but Seth Meyer is one of the best Weekend Update personalities in a long time.

  • No, he’s only hosted 3 times so far – but he has shown up unannounced on two separate occasions. Plus, *NSYNC was the musical guest for an episode in 2000.

• Since I’m not a teenage girl, I know just about zilch about this Justin Timberlake-or care to know.
  Apparently he was a boy band singer and does a lot of posturing with young actresses.
  But what little I DO know, he’s about as good a host as SNL can now get.

  SNL stinks! Helen Mirren, Russell Brand? What kind of anti-funny crap is this?
  Lorne Michaels is rich and running on fumes.
  SNL consists of:
  11:35 Deathly boring political segment
  11:40 5 minute tedious Host attempt at funny
  12:00 or so Some truly obnoxious “music”-rapper garbage, young loud punks, avante garde female
  11:45-12:10 4 or so pathetic skits
  12:10-12:35 Wasteland… Seth tries to act smart-Big Fail
  12:40-12:50 2 Lame skits
  12:50ish Encore garbage “music”
  12:55 Last unfunny skit of the night

  Timberlake will do just fine. After all, on SNL, he won’t need to impress us with his acting skills, comic timing, singing, dancing, or improvisation skills.
  Just look pleasant, read the cue cards, and shuffle off at 1:00 AM so Lorne can chalk up another hugely undeserved paycheck.
