EXCLUSIVE: Logan Lerman is set to star in The Only Living Boy In New York, an indie that now has Horrible Bosses helmer Seth Gordon attached to direct. A fall production start is eyed. The Allen Loeb-scripted film is a twisted coming-of-age tale in which a young man (Lerman) learns that his overbearing father is having an affair. The son tries to stop it, only to become involved with the woman as well. With advice from a questionable quirky neighbor, the young man learns about love. Lerman, who played the lead in Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, next stars as D’Artagnan in Summit’s Three Musketeers, and he’s about to start production in the lead role of Perks of Being a Wallflower, also for Summit. The Only Living Boy In New York is produced Albert Berger and Ron Yerxa, and John Fogel is executive producer. Lerman’s repped by CAA and Lisa Lerman, and CAA is repping the film’s North American distribution rights.

I LOVE this project. I’m Ron and Albert’s biggest fan. Such great guys.
Congrats to all involved. I know this project has languished forever so I’m happy to see it finally moving forward. I hear the script is pretty good, so fingers crossed.
Read it ages ago. It’s a good read, but, you know, so was Things We Lost in the Fire. Very interested to see how it shakes out and who else they get.
Albert, Ron, and Allan had something really special with ThE SWiTCH. The directors are the ones that butchered it. Luckily those two haven’t done anything since.
there’s been talk about this project for sometime now. glad to see a prod date and with a quality team attached. Lerman seems to be going for a lot of quirky, indie teen roles to balance his potential franchise starters Percy Jackson and 3M
LOVE this script! So glad to see it moving forward.
The “elephant in the room” is named Benjamin Braddock!
Very happy for this kid. He’s a terrific actor and needs more of this and less of Percy or anything in 3d.
agree keep to more character-driven material like his previous efforts in My One and Only and Jack and Bobby. the kid has a natural gift for drama/dramedy. leave the actioners/popcorn flicks to people like taylor lautner and the rest of the twilight gang
You had me at Berger and Yerxa.
You didn’t even need to use “twisted” in the logline.
And Lerman is a really interesting actor, want to see where he’s going.
Logan Lerman is awesome and I’m so excited to see him in future movies! Percy Jackson especially; I loved the books.
I hope that Logan Lerman has some sex scenes.
