NBC today confirmed Saturday Night Live‘s guest lineup for May. Former SNL head writer/Weekend Update co-anchor Tina Fey, creator and star of NBC’s comedy 30 Rock, will return for her third stint as host on May 7 with musical guest Ellie Goulding. The Office and Hangover co-star Ed Helms will make his SNL hosting debut on May 14 with musical guest Paul Simon, and SNL favorite Justin Timberlake will take his fourth turn as host on the May 21 season finale with musical guest Lady Gaga.

It’s too hard to follow this show’s schedule. They’re for two weeks, then they take a month and a half off. Then they’re back for a week and gone for another 2 weeks… what the hell? It’s not like the extra time in between has ever taught them anything about comedy writing. Btw, to anybody that works at SNL that might read this: singing and dancing are not inherently funny – if the ‘script’ consists of a handful of celebrity impersonations singing for no reason, you’ve got a problem.
Apparently they’ve taken an extended leave to “find their funny”… come May, that shit better play.
Hey I’m a big Tina Fey fan and am glad to see her back hosting so soon after her last hosting of the show. Please continue to bring back old cast members! Loved the Dana Carvey job some weeks back. It’s the only time I watch SNL these days…when someone of note comes in! (it makes me recall how cool SNL was in the old days). I don’t find Timberlake funny at all he just seems popular with girls so they stick him on…but yet I never laugh when he’s on…I guess he’ll do some drag thing or sumthin’ Oh well thank goodness Norm is back with his Sports Show…now he’s funny!
How boring. Tina Fey again. Justin Timberlake again. Ed Helms from THE OFFICE — another NBC property.
A fitting ending for a show that has been utterly awful nearly the entire season.
Cant wait to see how Ed Helms does. He seems like he will mesh well with the cast. Plus any time he sings I almost pee my pants.
The funniest thing I saw on SNL recently was from the bootleg I have of the 92-93 season. Tina Fey was no where on the show. It was great!
Justin Hofman, Justin Timberlake is actually very loose and solid on SNL. He joins Anne Hathaway & Jon Hamm as three of the best SNL hosts for the past four or five years.
Yes, SNL isn’t as great as it once was, but I’m sick of all the dumbass idiots on here coming in and saying the same thing everytime an SNL-related article is posted. I know a lot of people, myself included, who think this season has been pretty solid. What have all of you done to make America laugh lately?
Ed Helms and Jason Sudakis will appear together to prove that they are two different guys.
