Oxygen Media, which will hold its upfront presentation in New York later today, has put three more docu-series in the development pipeline, surprisingly, none of them featuring Tori Spelling: Maids of Drama (working title) which focuses on bridal parties gone awry; Lost Angels (wt), which follows Chloe Lattanzi, daughter of pop icon Olivia Newton-John; and My Post Grad Life (wt), a look at the year after college graduation. In addition, Hair Battle Spectacular, which became the most-watched freshman series in Oxygen history, has been renewed for a second season with new host model/actor Eva Marcille. Oxygen also announced premiere dates for two new series, The World According to Paris (June 1) and The Glee Project (June 12), whose premiere episode will feature Glee standout Darren Criss as a guest mentor. With The Glee Project, Oxygen is opening a new night of original programming on Sunday. Here are descriptions of Oxygen’s series in development:
Maids of Drama: Chronicles jockeying, jealous, and just plain out of control bridesmaids in the weeks leading up to the wedding day. The project is produced by Half Yard Prods. with Sean Gallagher and Abby Greensfelder serving as executive producers.
Lost Angels: Follows Chloe Lattanzi, daughter of movie star and music icon Olivia Newton-John, as she and her group of friends explore the hipster side of Hollywood while also dealing with the perks and pitfalls of her mother’s fame. FremantleMedia North America is producing.
My Post Grad Life: Features two groups of girls in two very competitive cities — Boston and Philadelphia. In each town, these hard-working sassy young women move into a house together, pooling their resources –- both money and courage — in hopes of making it on their own. The project is produced by Half Yard Prods., with Sean Gallagher and Abby Greensfelder serving as executive producers.
Also in development at Oxygen are Love Scouts, following Olivia “Liv” Alexander as she and her team of scouts comb the clubs, malls and social scene to find potential singles for their high-profile clients; and Best Ink, featuring 12 tattoo artists competing for cash and the ultimate prize of “Best Ink.”
