EXCLUSIVE: Royal Pains star Mark Feuerstein is heading into the third season of USA Network’s flagship series with a big salary bump. I hear Feuerstein, who was making around $75,000 an episode, will now see his pay double to about $135,000 an episode ($140,000-150,000 if additional compensation, including bonuses, is factored in.) In exchange, under his renegotiated deal with Royal Pains producer Universal Cable Prods., I hear Feuerstein is adding an extra year to his current contract for the show.
Royal Pains, starring Feuerstein as a concierge doctor in the Hamptons, has become USA’s highest-rated series in total viewers and adults 18-49. Last year, it averaged 7.3 million viewers and 3.1 million in 18-49. Production on Season 3 of the show is slated to begin shortly. Renegotiating lead actors’ contracts for a bigger paycheck is common practice after the second season of successful series. Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay, the stars of USA’s other series heading into Season 3, White Collar, also recently received significant salary increases. Feuerstein is with UTA and Framework.

Third season? I watch a substantial amount of television, but until today I had never even heard of the show. I recognize Mark’s name from earlier narration work he’d done quite well. So. . good for him on the big money bump. He’s grabbed a brass ring and hung onto it.
What qualifies as “substantial?” You obviously don’t watch anything on USA.
Newsflash: It is quite possible, no downright easy, to view numerous television projects without watching anything on USA.
the show for people who have heard of the Hamptons but will never go…
You’re scary.
What does the rest of the cast make? He’s the star, sure, but the others have pretty big roles too.
Love White Collar!
Hate Dr. Vegas, I mean Dr. Hamptons…
Funny how people complain about CEO salaries, but entertainment figures always seem to get a pass. 160K for around 1 weeks worth of work – ridiculous.
This show is so atrocious.
And the “acting” is just horrible.
this is a slap in the face for “good” television shows.
Royal Pains is a GOOD tv show. It’s entertaining and the cast is talented. I find better shows on cable than network TV these days. Good for MF. From some comments here, he is a decent person. Well deserved!
How much money is in his checkbook and 401K? You left out that info.
Super nice guy and a really talented actor! Deserves all the good fortune. So much better than the dreck that is this series. But maybe his commercial success will lead to some quality material. U go, Mark! (run, if u can actually)
Great actor. Even better person. Genuine. Smart. Hard-working. Priorities in order. He truly deserves his success.
Good for him, nice show and a nice guy. I’m sure the rest of the cast is doing fine or we’d have heard something by now.
Mark comes from a money family in New York City. He’s a nice guy but he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He is not self-made by any stretch of the imagination. His father, a wealthy lawyer, supported him while he was a struggling actor.
This guy is one of the nicest people, let alone actors, you’d ever want to meet. He genuinely loves what he does, is thankful for his success and is CONSTANTLY working and hustling – he’s earned everything he’s gotten. I can’t stand most people, and I really like this guy. Good for you MF!
I think if you asked USA, they’d tell you their flagship is “Burn Notice”. But maybe just me.
Second.
$160K an episode? Losing.
charlie sheen?! what? you want to talk about “losing”? why are you even commenting on this?? you are a joke and mark feuerstein is all things you are not– a kind and grateful person, a wonderful husband, and a terrific father. oh, not to mention, not out of his fucking mind. i feel sorry for your parents and your children. you have yet to do anything good in this lifetime.
The guy who should really get a raise is the Doctor that comes up with all the medical stuff. The series is at it’s best when the plot is medical not romantic!
Mark is one of the hardest working actors around, smart and one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. He’s talented and on top of that, he’s a great dad. The guy is worth every dollar he gets. All you haters can kick back in your North Hollywood studio apartments and continue working on your Big Bang Theory specs, but don’t worry, if you try real hard maybe one day you’ll become a set PA. Boy, won’t mom be proud. Suckers.
Mark is a truly wonderful actor who has an amazing range and depth of skill. He is a creative artist full of ideas. He is also one of the best human beings working anywhere in Hollywood: a man with a great heart and soul who deserves all his success and more.
Where are you getting 7.3 million viewers? Is that including encores? Because my calculations lead it to be around 4.5-5 million per episode.
Well deserved!! A hard working actor who paid his dues and an even better person!! Congrats Mark, it’s about time you got some real recognition
I totally agree. This Mark F is such an ugly little guy, & the show is just stupid. Where are peoples brains. Just a bunch of homely, bad actors. The only thing good is the Hamptons’ scenery.
