If you were trying to sneak in that last-minute meeting at Sony Pictures before heading off for the holiday, think about rescheduling. President Barack Obama will be coming to the lot for a Democratic National Committee fundraiser. Security considerations and restrictions of movement will prompt the studio to close at 2 PM today, but the promise of gridlock in Culver City and security considerations in general has led many to plan to make themselves scarce a lot earlier than that. The lot is closed tomorrow for Good Friday.

Be glad you dont live in the DC area. Say what you will about Bush, he didn’t screw up traffic around here even 1% the amount that Obama does. He had the entire American Legion Bridge shutdown for hours so he could go visit an elementary school in Silver Spring. for those of you that don’t know the area the AL Bridge is the ONLY way to get from VA to MD on that side. If some catastrophe had happened, a major artery would have been shut off. And he has don this on several occasions.
And dont even get me started on the chaos he caused with his trips to Ray’s Hell Burgers. the man cares about no one but himself. I have lived and worked in DC since the Clinton era; nothing has been as bad as trying to get around since Obama has been in office.
The 10 east will be an even greater hell than usual tonight from San Mo right? Any tips on getting to sunset strip by 730 from the westside? I’m thinking maybe the smaller arteries that cross under the 405 like National blvd, etc. Any thoughts?

I heard from a very good souce at Sony that Obama is actually reading for a role opposite Kate Beckinsale and Colin Farrell in the Total Recall remake. The speech is just a cover up so Ari doesn’t know he left him for CAA.

Does anyone know if Sony Plaza or surrounding lot/producer’s building, etc., has a helipad? We can see from our offices in West L.A. that there was no motorcade on the freeway, and believe he was taken by copter to Sony – but, is there a helipad there? Thanks!
