SAN ANTONIO & LOS ANGELES — Clear Channel Communications and Relativity Media announced they have entered into an unprecedented multi-media agreement to promote a number of major film releases over the next 12 months. The companies officially kicked off their collaboration with the promotion of the film Limitless. The campaign was executed across a broad combination of Clear Channel’s assets, including national radio programs like “On-Air with Ryan Seacrest” and dozens of top-rated local radio station programs like Boy Toy Jesse’s show on KIIS-FM in Los Angeles and Elvis Duran’s show on Z100 (WHTZ) in New York. Also included were digital and mobile ad units, digital outdoor billboards in strategic locations around the country like Times Square, and national and local commercial inventory.

I think it’s sort of embarrassing that Ryan Kavanaugh has his name in every single page title on Relativity’s website. I guess having his name once in the Google search results wasn’t enough.
::Relativity Media LLC: Ryan Kavanaugh, CEO::
Relativity Media, LLC, led by CEO Ryan Kavanaugh, is a media and entertainment company. . .
Look, I know this board likes to bash Kavanaugh. And he’s certainly made mistakes. But I’d hazard to guess that his name is all over their website because, well, HE FOUNDED AND OWNS THE COMPANY.
They’re not traded. They’re not part or an international conglom. One guys owns the thing (along with banker investors who typically want nothing to do with the spotlight). So he sticks his name on it. Who cares?
Is it that different from an actor or director or writer getting a credit? Not to me.
Sigh. I guess I just don’t get the hate. Relativity make movies. Movies make jobs. Jobs pay us. What are we upset about, again?
If/when the guy crashes and burns (and heck, he might) that’s BAD for our industry. Only in Hollywood would we all sit around wishing ill on a small studio. Dumb.
Judging by the reply above, it looks like Ryan K also LOVES to write self-congratulatory emails to make himself look good. Way to go Dorian Gray!
