It is a story that has dominated conversations among talent agents and managers this week. As reported by several outlets, on Tuesday, the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office announced that Nicholas Roses, identified as a 21-year-old talent manager based in Studio City, Calif., has been charged with nine criminal counts. He has been accused of luring parents from small-town America to bring their children to his poorly run (according to the parents), expensive (at $3,000 a pop) acting workshops in Los Angeles with the promise to eventually sign the kids.
Why is the case getting so much attention in talent circles? Because Nicholas Roses is actually Nick Roses, a well-known youth talent manager working for established management company Luber Roklin Entertainment. Roses, who joined Luber Roklin a year ago, has been running the alleged scheme through his own company, and partner Matt Luber on Thursday told me they were unaware of Roses’ extracurricular activities. Immediately after Roses’ indictment Tuesday, he was suspended by Luber Roklin pending further investigation. His name has since been removed from the company’s staff directory on IMDb Pro. (Meanwhile, several talent agents and managers from other companies told me that many in the industry had known about Roses’ practices and expressed doubt that he could have kept them secret from his bosses.)
There is one other reason for this case being on everyone’s lips: Roses is not just a young turk, he has been a lightning rod. “I can’t think of anyone else of that age who is more hated,” one talent manager said. “He’s wronged a lot of people.” Roses has the reputation of an unscrupulous manager who has been building a client roster by aggressively poaching other managers’ clients, something accepted among agencies but generally frowned upon in talent management. As for allegedly making parents enroll their kids in his expensive boot camps as a condition to sign them, it is also a no-no for talent representatives. It also violates the Krekorian Talent Scam Prevention Act of 2009, which prohibits talent reps from charging money upfront for the promise of securing jobs. If convicted, Roses could be sentenced to as long as seven years in jail and fined as much as $70,000.
It would be an abrupt career ending for one of Hollywood’s youngest talent representatives, nicknamed “Lil’ Nick Roses”, “the 10% Teen” and “The Shark.” From the size of his bio on IMDb, you wouldn’t tell he is only 21 as it’s longer than anyone else’s I’ve seen, including people with long careers like Jack Nicholson, Elizabeth Taylor and Kirk Douglas. It is written in a self-promotional style that is more fitting for a telemarketer than a Hollywood agent. Here is the opening line: “July 22, 1989, Nicholas Tomas Roses was born in the City of Hollywood, Florida and had no clue that he was born to have an impact on the world.” Roses claims he started interning for a talent manager at age 12 and moved to LA to launch his own management company at 16. He did stints at the Cunnigham Escott Slevin Doherty Talent Agency and Alvarado Rey Agency and ran his Roses Entertainment Group — the company cited by the District Attorney as being behind the acting camps — for five years before joining Luber Roklin in April 2010.
In the end, for Roses to try to be a hot-shot Hollywood manager while his classmates were still in high school may not have been the wisest idea, as his young age may have played a role in the actions that led to his legal troubles. “He is a child,” one talent manager said. “He is a 21-year-old who acted as such and thought he would get away with it.”

I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the tip of the iceberg. I’m running into more and more younger talent reps who couldn’t care less about their clients’ careers. Some of the kids in this biz lately aren’t getting the concept that you actually have to do some work and be good at your job to get ahead instead of just using people. Sure, a lot of people have done that for years in Hollywood but it can’t be the focus of your career. Somebody has to make the donuts.
Whether we’re 20 or 80, let’s all be careful to focus on the behavior and get away from the reverse-ageism; it only breeds senseless insecurity in all of us by placing focus on a correlation not necessarily the causation. Most people, no matter where they are in life, are not this level of damaged and it’s too bad this happened.
Dont judge, this is a 6 month old post in YAHOO ANSWERS, about a little girl being approached by Luber/Rocklin manager Mara Santino in a MALL!! SCUM SCUM SCUM.

Don’t go. I’m telling you this, if your daughter has REAL talent then she shouldn’t go to a modeling or acting school which Mara Santino represents. She reps for Barbizon & JRP (google them – scams!!) I remember a year ago I was approached by a talent scout who told me to go to an event because they said they would make me an actress and that Mara Santinon would be there . Instead I waited 1 hour to wait and be seen by her which lead to her giving me a packet telling me to pay $2000 for acting classes. Bogus.
Event I went to: http://bzonsanfrancisco.wordpress.com/20…
Someone who was in the EXACT situation as you: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?…
If you daughter really wants to be an actress put her in theatre so she can gain experience and go from there. I did, and now my agent is Carol Lynn Sher of CESD (One of the best agency – Carol also reps. Miley Cyrus)
Charlize Theron was discovered at a bank.Pamela Anderson was at a Lions game. Natalie Portman was eating pizza on Long Island. So sad what happened to their careers after those scummy people discovered them. Shame on you for overblowing something you know nothing about.
Thank you! I concur!!! Finally someone with sense!!!
Not everyone is a scam artist and people do get discovered. PLEASE – bitter hateful people who this did not happen to: Don’t hate on everyone else because of their success. It is really annoying, sniveling, and whiney.
Hope he gets the maximum penalty – what a pos.
How dare he tarnish the good name of lena roklin. Who does he think he is? Illegal talent management practices are one thing, tarnishing Russians an entirely different animal all together. I’ve never met this man but i am sure that Ms. Roklin would not have approved of such dirty deeds.where does the money go and how deep? Deadline just made Stone Phillips look like Jessica ButtercupN Junior High DetectiveM And she’s good.
tarnishing russians? is that what youre trying to do by your post? Just watch it buddy….watch it!
GOOD name of Lena Roklin? She’s a sleeze. The whole company has a reputation for being like this. They’re all showcase whores. Mara Santino does a different showcase taking poor actors money multiple times a week. This is the most HATED management company in the industry. I hope they burn for this.
CORRECTION: “the whole company” does not have a reputation for being like this. Mara Santino does not take money from actors unless it is her pre-negotiated commission from work they received while represented by her. The above comment is a bold faced LIE, along with many of other posts on this ridiculous site. Showcases are an industry standard and they do not require payment.
This case has turned from Nick to Mara. I would get my facts straight if I were you, if you do not want to face a law suit for false information! I would think about if I were you. Many a law suits have been filed for individuals giving false information about people and slandering them on blogs!
Hi Alex,
I can only assume you don’t know Mara Santino well. She has impeccable integrity. Luber Roklin is lucky to have her.
Though many wish she did not attend events like the IMTA (which I am sure is next on the D.A.s hit list), she attends and actually looks for talent. She has started many careers from her discoveries and hard work.
She charges and makes nothing at these showcases.
Just wanted to point that out, because I have worked with her and respect her, and don’t want to see her name dragged through the mud.
EVERYONE who goes to IMTA & iPOP is paid to be there! Mara is no exception, that doesnt make her bad. There are tons of people who are paid to be at the showcases. Mara is also one of the nicest people in the industry
sigh….another snark-deficient deadliner.
Ms. Finkie should start a telethon.
Mara is an incredible manager and dear person who wants nothing but the best for her clients. She is not even a tenth of an ounce like Roses. She’s an amazing human being.
brooke shields
is Brooke russian?
The good name of Lena…are you on crack…oh wait this is probably Lana’s asst writing this! She is disgusting and no one in our industry likes her.
Why is everyone saying that Roklin did not know of this. Lena was at said boot camp! She knew all too well. And not only did kids come from small town America but they came from all over the world. One boot camp was held last summer, it was hosted in varies places and ended with a showing of the work at a local Hotel.Big names taught at this boot camp and went to the finale show. Another boot camp just ended a month or so ago, this one had no finale show, but kids had to miss weeks of school in order of attending.
Luber Roklin knew exactly as to what was going on.
Fact: None of the partners ever attended any of these events. Period.
I just spoke with someone who DID attend the event and NONE of the PARTNERS WERE THERE, so why on earth are all these people saying they were? I thought this site was moderated and that correct facts were a requirement of getting posted……Nikki? Nellie? Someone?
none of the LR partners attended these events. these people claiming they did obviously don’t know who the LR partners are.
Tarnish Lena’s name… what she was there at said boot camp.
you are blind to the truth.
I know all the people at Luber/Roklin as well as nick.
they not only about it but supported it based on the fact nick brought many of clients and money to them that they didnt have.
i am NOT a fan of nick or his practices by no means but Luber/Roklin taught him some of these ways of hustle for clients more than you can handle , get what you can and when they leave than so what.
Luber/Roklin and nick all have over 100 clients with 7 people working. NO WAY they can handle them properly.
I refused to deal with them once i went to their offices in Beverly Hills and saw the cattle call of talent walking in and out the door complaining that they couldnt get their own manager on the phone and lost jobs. WITTNESS it with my own eyes and ears. 4 clients same day within 1 hour.
I have a feeling that Hollywood is going to make this into a movie, lol… I have another feeling, or maybe just an opinion:
Why in God’s name do parents believe if they spend $3,000 or any sum of money for a “acting bootcamp/or talent camp”, that their son/daughter are going to become the next big thing in Hollywood. It doesnt matter how much you pay a school or teachr, you can not learn the acting craft, you are born with the acting ability. Those parent deserve to lose that money, maybe next time they will think more wisely in choosing a path for their child.
This goes for film students as well, like wannbe directors.
Right. Tell that to “Snookie.” She’s got two TV shows and the cover of Rolling Stone.
Agreed. Talent is in the eyes of the beholder these days. People can get deals just by being buffoons on TV or uploading a pretty damn good video on YouTube. Besides, the directors we come to admire today were also “wannabe directors” at one time in their life.
I smell the next Shia Ledouche movie here.
Kudos to you, exploiter21. Another excellent moniker for Mr Labeouf. Me, I replace the a in his forename with thead.
The rose was a receptionist at cesd for about two weeks.
and another agency prior to that … he left bills at both…
Thank heavens this incorrigible lout has been brought to justice. He might have given the representation business a bad name.
Oh, come on Nellie! This piece needs A LOT more information.
For starters, about the actual scam. You say that Roses has been running the scheme “through his own company,” but also that he works for Luber Roklin. So, he works part-time for Luber Roklin? And Luber Roklin is in Beverly Hills, but Roses is “based in” Studio City? Meaning he lives there? His workshops were held there? His office is there? He’s running his own company there even though he works for a company in Beverly Hills?
And the scam — it’s “poorly run.” According to who? Did you talk to people who actually went to and paid for the workshops? Kids? Their parents? If you did it would be nice to hear from them.
You intimate the scam focused on parents from small town America — how do you know this and exactly how was Roses doing this? How and why would he ignore kids from big cities? How on earth was he doing this without Matt Luber knowing???? You apparently had Matt Luber on the phone but didn’t get an answer to that question?
Wish you could spend more time clarifying these questions than all the time spent poring over his imdb bio and telling us how no one likes him. Oh, he poaches clients? That’s frowned upon? Well, that ain’t illegal and it has nothing to do with these acting workshops. That just makes the piece feel like a smear campaign.
Nikki should hire you to write her investigative reports! Your criticisms are all spot-on. Honestly, this piece reads like a PR memo to clear Luber Roklin of any suspicions; with whatever the idiot “young hotshot” did offered as a side freak show.
Oh, and I agree with whoever said this will be a Hollywood movie soon. Paging Shia!!!
Lady Jane,
Deadline/Nellie didn’t break this story. Variety printed an article on Thursday, followed by HR then Backstage West.
Before Nick joined Luber/Roklin, Nick had his own company Roses Entertainment. He toured the nation, getting paid (as much as $1,000) to attend workshops with the intent to sign clients. No harm there, as plenty of other managers do the same.
Nick met these out of town kids/parents and charged them $3,000 a pop to participate in an actors “bootcamp” in Los Angeles, which is illegal in the state of CA. There is much more technical info in the Variety and HR articles.
Roses Entertainment and Nick Roses are the parties being indicted, and not Luber/Roklin. So, I’m guessing (though I’m not certain), he ran these bootcamps before joining Luber/Roklin, and continued to do so. I do have a hard time believing Matt Luber when he says he didn’t know of these showcases going on. I mean. C’mon. This would be a non-issue if Roses were making little money. The showcases Roses held were at The Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood! And, Roses must have been constantly traveling signing up kids. So, Luber or Roklin just didn’t know?
The hearing is May 5th (according to other pubs), and all the other information regarding the hearing is public information.
And, as far as what’s frowned upon: working at a medium-sized management company then poaching a client from a small company isn’t illegal, no. Just like sleeping with your best friend’s partner isn’t illegal. It’s just slimy.
I don’t know anyone involved in this. So, completely unbiasedly, I agree. It’s a weird piece from start to finish. I’m curious to know how someone becomes a ‘known’ talent manager at 21. I mean, there are stories of children of hollywood royalty getting promoted sooner than others. There are stories of 26 year olds signing a big name after meeting them at a night club and bringing them into their respective ‘established’ companies. But how does a 21 year old from relative obscurity get a buyer on the phone? What tracking group do they find material from? How do they do their job as a manager at 21 having grown up in a little town in FL?
Very curious piece. I hope there’s a real story here and not just some loud mouth kid who opened it too big and ended up deadline. Would be fascinating if all this is ‘real’ – if he actually pulled off this scam while poaching bankable clients as a 21 year old from Hollywood, FL.
He is “well known” because he has pouched numerous clients from many managers, is extremely arrogant about it, very outspoken about his plans to steal clients, and flashes the cash amongst colleagues to show that he has made a fortune on his showcases.
This boy is very well known and extremely hated in the industry.
Promoted at 23….
From what I remember, Nick started when he was 15 yrs old. Thats when i had my suspicions. A 15 year old as a manager? Shouldn’t he be in school and going thru puberty? Didn’t the parents find it odd that a child was a manager of actors? Were they that blind and dumb to believe the BS?
This is from the article in Backstage:
Roses and his company, Roses Entertainment Group, face seven misdemeanor counts each, including three counts of operating an advance-fee talent representation service, one count of not filing a required $50,000 bond with the state, and one count of failing to use written contracts for artists. If convicted, Roses could be sentenced to as long as seven years in jail and fined as much as $70,000.
Prosecutors learned of Roses through three Ohio-area parents who met the manager last year at a workshop in the Buckeye State. On Roses’ advice, the parents and their children—ages 6, 13, and 14—moved to Los Angeles and signed up for the manager’s weeklong industry “boot camp,” which took place in August and cost roughly $3,000 per child.
The parents contacted Deputy City Attorney Mark Lambert, who is prosecuting the case, in January of this year to register complaints regarding the camp. The parents claimed that the camp was poorly organized, with participants as old as 62, and that Roses failed to provide adequate seating, food, water, and breaks. According to prosecutors, several children involved became ill, with one girl developing swollen lungs, hives, and rashes.
Amazing! This kid sounds like a real dbag. Regardless if Luber/Rocklin didn’t know about this they should be brought up on charges for being dumb enough to hire a kid with a bio like that. That bio is one of the great reads of the year. That thing should end up on the black list.
Hogan Tamer out!
He was hired a year ago on the spot with zero vetting by the Lena Roklin. She will hire anyone who kisses her ass and then defend them to the death so as not to ever have to admit that she was wrong.I guess Russians consider apologizing to be a sign of weakness? I was on her desk for a very short period, and she is certifiable. She is also good at what she does and has a lot of very successful clients, so I suppose in business you take the good with the bad. Unfortunately for Luber and the employees at the company, her lack of judgement and rash decision making has them in an awkward spot. That is partnership, though, like marriage, it isn’t easy.
This Nick guy had a casting show on MTV; his pic is still on their website; why did MTV dump his show? In the pic the kid looks like a cabbage patch kid circa 1985. The whole thing is weird; ask MTV why they dumped his show and maybe get some answers to what’s really going on with this lil’ scammer.
The victims are the families here, but isolating it as just a Hollywood internal issue for a moment, the issue for me isn’t even the crime/unethical nature of what he did, given his young age, it’s that he’s one of those people who fills out a bio on IMDB or online, with not an iota of self-awareness. These people are all over the place, trumping themselves up, completely unaware that they look like gigantic tools to anyone with a brain.
“He is a child. He is 21 years who acted as such and thought he would get away with it,” one talent manager said.” This is the most discouraging aspect of the whole episode. This disgusting predator preyed on gullible and star-struck families. To dismiss this cretin with such an excuse is the most insidious aspect of the situation. Anyone who works with kids in this business (and I know some really hard-working and honorable ones) should be concerned about this scumbag’s black eye on the employment of children in films and television.
Luber Roklin is pretty renowned for stealing clients as well. Very suspect that they “didn’t know” about his side project even though his company was also listed on imdb. Methinks they were turning a blind eye to the situation.
EVERYONE knows that Lena tries to steal others’ clients and then hires a force of worker ants to handle them. This “manager” Rose was likely a cheap hire and someone who sold Lena & Matt on the strengths of his youthfulness. Nevertheless for them to be clueless about his activities – please we all know what everyone’s doing in our co’s out here – sounds like a fib.
I don’t know-companies are like dysfunctional families. Is it the parent’s fault when little Nicky steals a car or takes the milk money from a smaller kid? They need to assess their oversight for sure but I am not sure it can be pinned on the boss when an underling does something stupid.
Luber Roklin are not “renowned” for stealing clients. They are renowned for booking a shit load of television shows and consistently outbooking bigger companies with a lot more employees. The proof is in the results, people. Nick Roses may be cheesy and disliked, and perhaps he broke the law, but he also worked hard for a lot of his clients legitimately. I am not defending what he did but it isn’t as black and white as it is being painted.
Despicable. Hope he gets the maximum.
I read this story with a little shock until I saw Roses was working with Matt Luber. Luber is just about the most unscrupulous manager I’ve had the displeasure of working with briefly.
Birds of a feather…
care to elaborate?
I was an employee at Luber Roklin for a year and Matt Luber was a great leader and amazing to collaborate with. All of his employees love and respect him. I’ve never seen anyone work harder for his clients and he also produced several films. He is the definition of a true personal manager.
This sounds like it was written by someone being held hostage and forced to write it.
Funny how actually expressing honest, heartfelt feelings in support of someone invites mockery. I suppose in contrast to all the hateful posts before it, this does seem out of place. Doesn’t mean it isn’t true, though.
Unscrupulous? In what way? I am represented at Luber Roklin and have found them to be totally above board. Matt is one of the nicest people I have met out here.He is courteous and kind and does a good job. I have had some sleazy, lazy managers, so contrary to a lot of the mean comments on here, Luber Roklin is an excellent company.
Have you ever even met Matt Luber? Matt’s clients stay with him for a reason. He is loyal, creative, passionate, and intelligent. He took a script — Bride Wars — that was turned down by most of the town and initiated a few changes that got it sold and made. When I need innovative casting ideas or scripts that are different than the average submissions my company receives, Matt is the first call I make.
As far as his integrity, I can only speak to my direct experiences with him. Last summer he reached out to protect my relationship with a major foreign sales company when a significant misunderstanding arose. Matt didn’t have to do this and didn’t benefit with one extra dime. He spent energy and political capital because he heard something that wasn’t true and cared enough about other people to get involved.
Yes I am a talent manager and didn’t know much about Matt Luber. Lana has been notorious for years but, didn’t know Matt was as bad… until I read an email where he called the parents that filed charges “bottom feeders” as he brushed this whole thing off like its no big deal. What a scum bag. I know of 2 name clients that have dropped LR because of this scandal and they derserve it. All anyone has to do is google Nick Roses, pull up “images” and you will find the poster for the showcase last August. Luber Roklin’s name is all over it. They knew and Mara Santino and Lana Roklin were at the bootcamp and the showcase. Nick just did another boot camp last month at THE ARCHSTONE STUDIO CITY. I witnessed it myself. I have also seen an email that he sent out to all his clients about one he is planning to do in London this July. Nick is one bad dude and his employers don’t deserve to have the success that they do!
Wow.What this post illustrates is exactly how low people will stoop: the remark about “bottom feeders” that you refer to is lifted OUT OF CONTEXT from a PRIVATE email between Matt and another person.I read it.It was sent yesterday, and he was referring to people like you,”talent agent”,miserable hacks who spend their time anonymously tearing him down.Tsk Tsk tsk…how unbelievably low.
He looks too young to shave.
http://www.qpicture.com/artist/nick-roses
“sure do got a perty mouth!” think that’s what he’ll be hearing soon enough…
Seriously! He does not even look 12, much less 21! why would any person with even a hint of common sense look and him and think he could make their kid a star? he doesn’t even look like he is old enough to drive… or leave elementary school.
Fascinating? Really? He is a scumbag snake oil salesman and they are everywhere. The only difference between him and the others is those idiots Matt and his partner (whatever her name is) actually let him into their lives and their clients lives as well. Great instincts Matt, you have always been out to lunch/out of touch and this only confirms it. Oh yeah, what’s with suspending this guy pending further investigation? Who does that besides police departments? Again, idiots.
So right!
Finally some one w a brain.
Not only did he run said boot camps but he also had Disney day trips with all his “kids”.
Out to lunch? Matt has owned a multi million dollar business that he built from scratch. Aside from building a great client list, he has had a hand in producing 8 movies that I know of. Out to lunch, I want go know where he is eating.
Luber works his ass off. You are way off base.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsBeh4InicY
Is that guy in the video Nick Roses? The blurb beneath the video mentions the guy as “Mr. 10% teen himself”….
Ooooh… they’ll love him in prison.
yep:
http://www.qpicture.com/artist/nick-roses/image-nick-roses-18153
Well I don’t think his partner, that was a client at said boot camp, would like that!
Well I don’t think his partner, that was a client at said boot camp, would like that!
It is not just NICK. Lena and Matt try poaching everyones clients.
really is the only company in town that I hear consistanlty horrible stories about. I also heard Lena laughing saying it is ok for her to do that cause she is Russian…Well I am Russian too and I would never do that.
uh, name ONE client that Matt Luber poached, I dare you. The other people in question clearly have their own issues, but Matt is NOT the guy you are describing. Creating nasty rumors is fun when you are anonymous but back it up with fact please.
Are you bright enough to see the hypocrisy in your retort. By the way, this is rhetorical. Moron.
yeah, that’s what I thought. call my a hypocrite, call me a moron but please, don’t answer the question.
Matt Luber is SCUM. I know him. I’ve heard lies straight from his mouth. I’ve seen him do things bordering on illegal, but unquestionably evil.
I always knew karma would catch up with him, I just can believe it’s taken so long.
Evil? Who is this, George Bush Jr?. Yes, Matt Luber is the Devil himself-what, did he pass on your script? fire you? really?
This post made me laugh out loud because I,too,”know him”, and actually kind of hope hell exists so you can burn in it for saying something so laughable. The real Devil would be insulted, trust me.
Matt Luber is a great guy with a FAMILY. He has 2 young daughters. Anyone who knows Matt – they say amazing things about him. I don’t know who you are or what you do, but you clearly do not know Matt Luber.
How does having a family – 2 daughters – automatically make you a great guy? And even if you are actually a great guy in your private life, it doesn’t mean that you are in your business life. You can still be a good father and an unscrupulously evil in your business practices.
Matt Luber is not SCUM and he is not EVIL. Not that having a family means anything because anyone can procreate, but he is actually a great family guy. Our kids go to school together, and we have had occasion to work together a handful of times.
His only detractors seem to be people who have personal grudges to bear, which is inevitable in a business like this.
Yeah, right, people knew but not Luber Roklin. I’ve got a bridge for sale.
Other Luber Roklin reps were at the showcases, so how is it possible that they didn’t know? Roklin is a big fan of Roses. The company is rumored to have about 1000 clients split amongst the 15 (well now 14) managers. Only some 350 are listed on IMDb while the others are newbies without any IMDb credits. As a manager… there is no way you can handle that many clients with that few managers.
1000 clients? HA HA HA HA HA HA! that is the funniest post yet.you obviously have no idea what you are talking about….
Quality of writing in this article is awful…This reads like the work of a 12 year old. I wasn’t aware that you could be charged with “luring parents to a poorly run acting workshop.” Where is that in the penal code? Journalism is dead.
Thank you!!
Where is that in the penal code? Ummm….
“It also violates the Krekorian Talent Scam Prevention Act of 2009, which prohibits talent reps from charging money upfront for the promise of securing jobs. If convicted, Roses could be sentenced to as long as seven years in jail and fined as much as $70,000.”
Anyone in the business knows that this has Lena Roklin written all over it… watch the house of cards fall.
Can’t believe that he worked at sketchy Luber/Rokin and they didn’t know anything.
Uh, define sketchy please. They rep some of the hottest up and coming movie stars in the business.Look at their list. Their clients consistently book more pilots than almost anyone every year and despite some expected craziness by the Russian, Luber is as legit as they come. Nick is a bump in the road for them-everyone else is top notch.
Because: Rebecca Black.
Sorry – this comment was supposed to be attached to John Garcia’s comment above, along with a quote of his, “Why in God’s name do parents believe if they spend $3,000 or any sum of money for a “acting bootcamp/or talent camp”, that their son/daughter are going to become the next big thing in Hollywood.”
And then, because: Rebecca Black.
I hate not making sense.
Actually, it made wonderful sense, all by itself. We should congratulate brevity.
I know for a fact that the Russian knew about this scam. And considering that Matt Luber is so afraid of being found face down on his own keyboard, i’m not surprised he didn’t stand up for what’s right. And by the way, Lena Roklin prides herself on being the most disgusting, conniving, sneakiest poachers in town. Between her business practices and her silent partners, she’s built herself a successful, integrity-less little business….
She may have known that he ran boot camps but there is no way that any of them knew it was illegal. They are all guilty of ignorance but they are also the victims of some bonehead city attorney who seems hell bent on spending the city’s last dime revamping a perfectly fine albeit dysfunctional system. This is all kinda bogus, really. People need to wise up and take it to small claims.
Hello They are managers IN CALI!!!
They are suppose to know the laws when you deal with children its your job to know how to protect them and if you MANAGE them you have to know what you are doing.
They knew , didnt care cause they made a lot of money off nick works.
they are still collecting the checks.
Face it they all knew what was happening and didnt care cause money was being made.
Nick is the fall guy and i am sure he is still being paid by them to stay quiet.
Matt is smart and got writers working on the script now to cash in on the greatly planned promo for his next film “life of the wunder Kid”.
all these comments about them being Russian like Russians are so HONEST is crazy.
Russian , asian , black , white , mexican , persians or aliens once you in america its about those $$$$ money , bucks , dead presidents , cash , whatever you want to call it.
Matt and Lena knew this is the best thing to happen to the whole company and nick cause they will make a fortune when the movie is made.
Heck they should hire the kids who sued them hahahahah
Why would Luber Roklin hire some 20-yr-old shit that nobody knows and has never worked for anybody? Yeah, it is their fault too. Be more vigilant! It takes six years to get promoted at anywhere legit. What did this little scumbag do, drop outta middle school and start pushing the William Morris Mail cart. Fuck him, and they shoulda seen this coming.
And why do we care? He doesn’t represent anyone of interest?
This is an amazing rabbit hole to fall into. Google the name of the person who wrote the IMDB bio and you find her listed as an Americal Idol contestant and photos on a site which also features photos of Roses (he’s one of her friends on Facebook). There are a number of phony-looking sites with dead or fake links, all, I presume, put up to bolster his on-line presence. On one, there is a list of clients that includes Lindsay Lohan’s sisters.
It’s amazing what lurks out there.
