Anybody else notice that the *absolute best* tagline that the marketers could come of with for the national billboards for THOR is “from the studio that brought you Iron Man”?
Wow. Great creativity. Great salesmanship. Great implicit admission that Iron Man 2 sucked.
Because “From the Studio that brought you Iron Man and Iron Man 2″ sounds so much better.
I’m pretty sure that saying Iron Man implies the Iron Man Franchise as a whole, hardly a “Great implicit admission that Iron Man 2 sucked.”
I’ve never seen that tagline. The only one I’ve seen is “The God of Thunder.”
I hope in this Thor film series, they will include:
Balder, Beta Ray Bill, Frey, Hermod, Hercules, Hoder, Hrimhari, Idunn, Kelda, Thor Girl, Thunderstrike, Tyr, Valkyrie, Vidar, Volla, Zeus.
I look forward to seeing the following villains in future Thor sequels:
Absorbing Man, Atum, Bloodaxe, Cobra, Desak, Ego the Living Planet, Enchantress, Executioner, Fafnir, Fenris Wolf, Grey Gargoyle, Hela, Karnilla, Kurse, Lorelei, Malekith the Accursed, Man-Beast, Mangog, Midgard Serpent, Mr. Hyde, Mongoose, Perrikus, Quicksand, Radioactive Man, Ragnarok, Seth, Surtur, Ulik, Wrecking Crew (Wrecker, Bulldozer, Piledriver, Thunderball), Ymir, Zarrko.
Bless you for being a fan, but no-one cares about a list of names.
Can’t wait till this this thing flops… just one more nail in the Marvel/DC coffin.
Thor will tank… Mars Need Mom’s style!
I was at a press screening (very large audience) in a very major overseas territory. There were involuntary laughs, moans, groans and sighs and when during the final crawl the words “Thor will return in The Avengers” appeared, there were even boos and local language cries for “No! No!” I kid you not. Thor might open wide and well but it’s a bad film, has none of the chops of Iron Man and will tank, deservedly so.
A sure sign the studio believes it has a monumental turkey on its hands.
have any of you jackasses even read the reviews?
