The book has sold more than 2 million copies. UTA reps Story.

Good to see Tim Story back in action
Best dressed man in Hollywood is…
RUSHION MCDONALD
Another smart move by Will Packer. Would be nice to see him get the Kemba Smith story on screen. He has the rights. What’s the hold up?
Smart hire. Story’s a class act with the track record and talent to really make this movie work. He’ll surely help attract the cast and since Screen Gems movies typically work anyway, this should be a win across the board.
I can’t wait for this movie. Such a great cast coming together. Tim Story is the perfect director for this. He’s gels nicely with his actors and this ensemble picture will surely rely on the quality of the performances to really work. Hopefully this job will launch Tim back into the big time bc he’s uber-talented.
I think the writers also wrote Friends WITH BENEFITS. THis script is awesome I hope Story does it justice
Great guy, and very good with comedy. Great to see him back on it.
While I admire Mr. Story’s agents attempts on internet comment boards to maintain career relevance, can’t we all just admit what this picture REALLY is to the business?
Please, do tell us what this picture REALLY is to the business. Better yet, tell us what YOU bring to the business. I’d bet the price of one of Steve Harvey’s loud suits, which is probably more than you make in a year, that you mean NOTHING here or elsewhere.
The Hollywood chapter of the KKK never fails to show up on deadline.com whenever there is any story about any person of color mentioned in a story. The ONLY difference between you and the redneck inbreds you like to point fingers to in the so-called flyover states is that your sheets have higher threadcounts.
Agreed with beezley. Where are these comments coming from? No offense to Story as a person, but the FF movies weren’t even close.
who is the rest of the ensemble cast? i thought i heard romany malco’s name mentioned in passing. would be good to see them teaming up again from the 40 yr old virgin time.
Don’t forget that Story directed Barbershop which this film is going to be more similiar to. And Barbershop was a fun and funny movie. He’s the right director for this, for sure.
@beezley: thanks for pulling back the veil! i was wondering where this effusiveness for Story (post-FF), Harvey, and KEVIN HART (psot-Soul Plane???) was coming from…
story is a below average film director. race has nothing to do with it. why doesn’t anyone bring up race when someone bashes Tarsem’s new trailer for Immortals?
