EXCLUSIVE: A decade after his standout performance in HBO’s miniseries Band of Brothers, Ron Livingston is back at the pay cable network with a co-starring role in the film Game Change, produced by Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman’s Playtone. The movie, directed by Jay Roach, follows John McCain’s (Ed Harris) 2008 presidential campaign, from his selection of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (Julianne Moore) as his running mate to their ultimate defeat in the general election. Livingston, repped by UTA and Thruline, will play Mark Wallace, a senior adviser to McCain-Palin 2008. He led the debate-preparation team for Gov. Palin, who ended up exceeding expectations in her face-off with Joe Biden.
Kelli Giddish, star of NBC/Jerry Bruckheimer’s freshman action drama Chase, is changing the pace with an arc on CBS’ praised legal drama The Good Wife. Giddish will appear in the last two episodes of the season playing what is described as a provocative role — an investigator for Lockhart Gardner who used to work with Kalinda (Archie Panjabi). There is a possibility for Giddish, repped by Paradigm and Invictus, to return in the fall, though The Good Wifeis yet to be officially renewed, so the show’s producers have not started working on storylines for Season 3.

“He led the debate-preparation team for Gov. Palin, who ended up exceeding expectations in her face-off with Joe Biden.”
Please. By exceeding expectations do they mean she managed not to foam at the mouth and was able to string a sentence together?
Thank you! I was thinking the same thing.
Obviously, you’ve never heard her speak.
Yeah, I hate it when she “uhs” her way through a speech without her teleprompter.
Another hit piece on Sarah Palin from the obcessed, desperate, ankle biters. Just more lies and slander. All in concert with “Pervertico” and other drive by hit sites. The fruadulent marxist in chief cant put together a sentence without his scripted teleprompter. Sarah Palin is miles ahead of Odopa, the country would be in much better shape with President Palin!
Kelli…..you should run from CBS….the show is not procedual enough and most likely will be cut from the upcoming season or changed so fundamentally that you won’t recognize it.
What? This show is in no real danger at CBS. It has won Emmys and even though it is not their highest rated drama, it certainly isn’t embarrassing the network in the timeslot. In fact, quite the opposite.
Maybe I’m biased because I’ve grown into a big fan, but Kelli is lucky to be joining the talented ranks of that cast.
Exceeded expectations?
People were just surprised she could form a sentence, after Couric interviews.
LOVE RON LIVINGSTON! Can’t get enough of him.
Worked with him in 1998, he was a real nice down to earth midwest guy. Continued success to the leader of Office Space!
Ron was truly brilliant in Bands of Brothers. I have a feeling he will hit big in TV before it’s all over.
What? Kelli not going back to “Chase”! Only kidding!!
Mr. Livingston has been on HBO after “Band of Brothers”. In 2003 he was on “Sex and the City” for 8 episodes.
Come on CBS..we already know Alan Cummings negotiated his contract for a few more years on THE GOOD WIFE..now this news of Kelli Giddish getting a 2 episode arc..which could leave the door open for next season..just announce the renewal already!!..fans are waiting in suspense..
The thing is, the McCain-Palin stuff is only 1/4 of the book. You have some chapter to John Edwards, but the main plot of the book is Hillary vs. Obama, and it sounds like if they’re only going to do a two-hour movie out of it, they’re going to cut most of that out. Do a two-part four-hour movie then and do justice to the book. We have Ed Harris, Julianne Moore, Woody Harrelson and Ron Livngston cast, all part of the McCain thread. Anyone from the Hillary or Obama camps cast?
“exceeding expectations”
Biden sure didn’t. Then he went back to lying.
Hufpost moronic liberal.
First of all…Kelli Is not leading lady material…Chase blew! and she looked quite ridiculous holding a gun…just didn’t work…THE GOOD WIFE is a hot show and she should feel lucky to be on—for those idiotic comments. Regarding Ron Livingston…this guy was good in a couple of things but is the DEATH of any pilot, perhaps they should pair him up with the unappealing Sarah Paulson-inevitable death of a pilot and Paula Marshall–another death of a pilot…hey and they can remake Three’s Company- Ah I solved it! Are you hearing me NBC….ehww why did I read this article inthe first place
