EXCLUSIVE: Scott Landsman, VP original programming and development at Comedy Central, is leaving the network. After fielding multiple offers, I hear he is in talks to join Sony Pictures TV as VP comedy development. There, he is expected to fill the void left by Tal Rabinowitz, SVP U.S. comedy development and digital programming, who would be leaving the studio to run NBC’s comedy department. Landsman was at Comedy Central for 7 years after joining the network in 2004 as director, current programming. He was named director, original programming and development in 2006 and was promoted to VP original programming and development in 2007.

Miss. Teschmacher!!!!
This guy just gets it. From Krod Mangoon to Naked trucker, to Secret Girlfriend. I celebrate his whole catalog.
Excuse me, but Naked Trucker was hilarious and does not belong in the same breath or category as Krod Mandoon or Secret Girlfriend.
Scott’s as smart as he is handsome. Mazel!
Why leave Comedy Central for Bland Central, aka Sony TV. Maybe he can show them the funny because Sony TV’s recent track record with comedy’s is definitely of the been-there-done-that, lowest-common denominator variety.
I assisted at CC for a year and this guy is great! He developed a script about two guys inheriting a strip club. The funniest TV script I’ve ever read.
Scotts the best, One of the good ones.
Scott is a good egg. Glad to hear he’s moving up & out (to hopefully bigger budgets!)
Scott is one of the smartest, talented and most down to earth people I know. Sony is lucky to have him!!
