Why isnt Comcast doing a house cleaning at Universal too?
Not a lot o’ big ideas coming out of Universal… I think it’s time for another shake-up.
Seriously has Scream 4 taught anybody anything — do not release a movie that is geared towards the college crowd in APRIL!!!!! All of the other american pie movies opened in August, so why not open it then when kids are out of school. Ugh, I’m gonna here it again, that american reunion failed….. April is a dumping ground for movies before the big guns come in May — why do they have to release a high profile movie in such a bad month….. Please Universal reconsider!
How do you explain the success of Fast & Furious being released that same weekend in April 2 years ago?
Fast & Furious opened the first week of April to 70M 2 years ago. How do you explain that then?
All together now: “If a movie is goooooood…” I think S4′s insignificant haul at the B.O. suffered from lack of talent. In layman terms: it sucked ass, yo.
“Universal has announced that American Reunion, the fourth installment in the studio’s American Pie franchise, will be released on April 6, 2012″… and it will turn into a series of heist films. A bold and provocative move and I think I like it.
This will be “Scream 4″ part 2. My prediction? It’ll gross half as much….
The difference being American Reunion will be good
Well from where I’m standing, the original “American Pie” movies have a way bigger nostalgia factor than “Scream” had. But who knows if that extends beyond my personal circle of friends. Honestly, I’d like to see this do well.
Very glad they’re (allegedly) getting back the entire cast, unlike American Wedding, in which they pretended five or six of them never existed.
4th installment? What? Those straight to video American Pie movies don’t count?
Oh boy, I can’t wait not to watch this on DVD.
yeesh, and I thought the fast & Furious “franchise” was an embarrassment.
Um, this franchise has been dead for how long now? Along with the careers of Jason Biggs, Chris Klein, Tara Reid, and Mena Suvari.
So you’re banking on a film cast with has-beens and never-weres.
LOSING!
This just in… NBC has been sold to Kabletown!
