There will be more of All My Children‘s signature star Susan Lucci on the veteran soap before it fades out in September after 41 years. beginning May 12, Lucci, who has been playing Erica Kane since AMC debuted in 1970, will play dual roles on the series: Kane and her doppelganger Jane Campbell “who will wreak havoc in Erica’s life in every possible way.” On AMC, which was canceled last month, Kane through the years has won a fight with a grizzly bear, staged a prison break, and become a world famous super model, cosmetics mogul and talk show host.

If anyone deserves to be playing duel roles it is Susan Lucci. She has earned it.
She may have prevailed over the grizzly bear, but unfortunately Erica Kane could not prevail over something far furrier, meaner and uglier. And of course, I mean Brian Frons.
Awesome!! When are they gonna reneg on cancelling these shows? big resurgence!
Here’s my guess for the final scene of the final episode of “All My Children”:
Erica (Susan Lucci) is facing the barrel of a gun and pleads for her life.
But the masked gunwoman shoots her dead.
The gunwoman removes her mask and we see that it’s Jane Campbell (also played by Lucci).
What a shock (but fantastic) ending that would be!
They should move the whole franchise to the OWN network from 7 to 8 PM
I think Erica should come out as a lesbian – last scene shows her in bed with ????? (a female). That would be a great final episode and help partially explain her countless husbands
I was devastated to hear that this show – that I have watched since DAY ONE was being canceled! For days I tried not to think about it – but have now begun to realize… I’m no longer caring! I hate the storyline since Erica’s wedding went haywire – AND have stopped rushing home for the 1:00 pm time slot if I am out. I no longer care – it’s insulting to viewers! I DO LIKE THE LAST IDEA! Maybe Erica should “come out” as a lesbian – how about CRYSTAL as her lover? Or – if Brook IS going to return… why not her? At least they could TRY to entertain us now – they have nothing to lose.
I think Susan Lucci would be great on “desperate housewives” , the ratings might sky rocket. However, she played herself so eloquently on “hot in cleveland”, may be a regular on the show.
