CBS Sports analyst David Feherty, the pro golfer-turned-golf analyst who has written four books and is co-announcer on EA Sports’ popular Tiger Woods golf video games, is getting his own show on the Golf Channel. Feherty, a 12-part original series and the network’s first since becoming part of the NBC Sports Group after the Comcast-NBCUniversal merger, will “share revealing interviews with well-known personalities from all walks of life — from sports to entertainment to politics – along with unique stories and anecdotes from the brilliant yet zany mind of David Feherty,” Golf Channel said today in announcing the series, which will debut the week of June 20. Feherty also will serve as a contributing analyst during Golf Channel’s Live From coverage.

Uh oh. When a PR release describes a show as “zany”, look out.
Faherty is a great personality and well known to golf fans. If anyone can make a show like that work on the Golf Channel it’s him. (Although the equally likable Anthony Anderson didn’t have much luck with “Golf In America” last year).
I’m just shocked Deadline Hollywood even knows about the Golf Channel.
David is a really great guy always having something interesting to say guy. A little crazy though! This promises to be a great show. Good luck to him.
Feherty is awesome. Great comedic mind but down to earth enough to get things understood.
Keep Feherty on, and I’ll keep the Golf Channel on. What a great asset! Keep up the good work.
David is very refreshing both on his show and on the course with his reporting
I look forward to his show every week and hope he has a long run with this program on the golf channel
Yeah, Feherty’ funny — for about 60 seconds. He sounds more and more like Oprah Winfrey every day. Insipid questions, juvenile jokes that have been told a hundred times and — worst of all — a whiny little voice. The Oprah of Golf.
So glad to see tonight. To see Feherty got a hair cut. Like the show very much.
