Chris Vance was cast as the male lead and Andrea Osvart as the female lead in Transporter, Cinemax’s 12-episode action series based on Luc Besson’s Transporter film franchise. The series centers on professional transporter Frank Martin (Vance), a role played in the movies by Jason Statham. Operating in a seedy underworld of dangerous criminals and desperate players, Frank can always be counted on to get the job done — discreetly. Osvart, repped by Innovative and Mosaic, will play Frank’s handler Carla, an extremely crafty former CIA operative who organizes his missions, acts as his eyes and ears on the outside, and continually stokes the flames of their unrequited attraction.

Hey did you watch hias arc on Burn notice. He played a character called Mason Gilroy. His character was an Arm Dealer, Assasin, Bomber, and Bi-Sexual all roled into one. This guy going to give the character a little more depth that alway been lacking when Jason Statham plays the role.
Movies are like haiku. Great Television is like a novel or short story. So I this not in anway going to be half-assed.
I like Chris Vance.He plays a good villain.He was James Whistler on Prison Break and was on the previous season of Dexter.I wonder how he’ll work in this role.I’ve only seen him as shady characters and Frank Martin isn’t an all out hero, so it will probably work.

Seeing how I own every season of Burn Notice on DVD, yet I can’t for the life of me remember this guy, he obviously wasn’t that much of a standout.
Speaking of BN, June 23rd can’t come soon enough. This dead time between spring finales and the summer season is killing me.
Chris Vance is not an average guy. He is a talented actor and I absolutely agree with George’s comment above. Looking forward to this show.
Watch his work on Burn Notice season 3 and your opinion might change. This is going be the role that makes Chris Vance a household name in american television and film.
The synopsis alone for the carla character gives me wonderous amagination. So to all Action junkies and fans of Human Target this one is being made for you.
I’ve seen Chris Vance in both Prison Break and Burn Notice and I’m really unimpressed. Hopefully he showed the Transporter ptb something radically better than anything he’s done so far. I didn’t watch that series that he did right after Prison Break but I don’t think anyone else did either.
That guy looks like a James Bond reject to me. Frank Martin was an military elite and this guy just doesn’t scream special forces to me.
