Al Madrigal, a fixture on Comedy Central’s stand-up comedy programming, has been added as a contributor to the network’s The Daily Show With Jon Stewart. His first segment is in tonight’s show, where he will address the topic of immigration with Stewart in-studio. Madrigal also has a part in Free Agents, the Hank Azaria-Kathryn Hahn comedy series that NBC picked up for its fall schedule.

Yay! Good for Al! Very talented guy and deserves this…
Al Madrigal is magically talented. He’s not broken through on TV in the typical stand-up-to-sitcom path. Hopefully this will help raise his visibility. And, it’s nice that they finally added a new, funny person — Olivia Munn’s been an oh-for since she joined.
I’ve always wondered why Daily Show didn’t have a latino correspondant. Al is perfect for this!
What? You mean people with talent still get on TV shows these days?
Great for Al and a nice turn around since Olivia hasn’t worked out since they hired her last year.
I thought he would be a good addition to the show, but he was not very good last night. Just. . . not funny.
Not funny is right.
He was painful to watch. Jokes were forced, flat and I kept waiting for his bit to end.
Good luck, Al!
