The CW has picked up two more new reality series for next season: The Frame, about teams of two living in a single room, and Re-Modeled, about small modeling agencies banding together to take on the big fish. The two shows join H8er, which was ordered earlier today for what I think is the largest number of new unscripted series ever introduced by the CW at its upfront as new president Mark Pedowitz is looking to combat the long stretches of low-rated drama reruns. Re-Modeled, for instance, can serve as a nice bridge between the two seasons of AMerica’s Next Top Model. The Frame is a bi-weekly show, in which 10 teams of two will each live in a single room — one Frame — for up to eight weeks, under 24/7 surveillance. They will face challenges, head-to-head competitions and eliminations, all while isolated from the outside world, with the viewers controlling who stays and who goes. Shed Media and Armoza International Media are producing, with Nick Emmerson and Jen O’Connell exec producing. In Re-Modeled, modeling industry veteran Paul Fisher is planning to bring together hundreds of small agencies around the world in a new venture called The Network to make sure agents in small towns no longer get screwed, and to empower models to take control of their careers and lead healthier lives. Fly on the Wall Entertainment and Sony Pictures TV are producing, with Allison Grodner and Amy Palmer executive producing.

New ‘Man Of Steel’ Television Spot #6

Haters seemed quite interesting, but The CW is now pushing the bar. Who cares about small modeling agencies or roomates, though I didn’t catch the premise of The Frame…
who is going to watch this? i mean really cw. really.
i never thought i would say this but bring ostroff back
Don’t mess with your luck CW… You were just fine renewing Nikita and bringing H8R, Ringer and Hart of Dixie. Please, don’t make us hate you again!
Frame seems to be a take on big brother and millione sof people watch it so take may do just fine.
Sorry i meant to say millions of people watch big brother.
So ‘The Frame’ is basically Big Brother except minus the other rooms and backyard? Terrible CW. Just terrible.
Who is this aimed at?
The other show sounds like every show on HGTV and not a good fit for CW.
With these and Hart of Dixie I’m thinking they need some serious attention to their development group.
So I guess this means “Plain Jane” is kaput?
These cheap reality shows can certainly do no worse than the drama repeats (at least financially). It’s not perfect, but at least they are finally doing something.
Ah there is the terrible programming the CW is known for.
I mean really.
Throw Hellcats a 9 episode order if all the rest of your pilots sucked or look into snatching up another network’s rejected pilot. Maybe Locke & Key to go with Supernatural on Fridays?
Frame sounds more like that show on fox reality where they had people locked up in rooms and dis challenges. The name escapes me but the computer host was called Val. Oh yeah it was called “Solitaire”
What would be a great show for the CW to pick up is Skins, (the MTV show) it was a great show and gets around the same kind of ratings as all of their other shows, It would be perfect to come on after 90210 or Gossip girl. I dont get why the CW doesnt just get a regular reality TV show “7-8 people living in a house together) The Bad Girls Club and Jersey Shore is great make a show like that with a group of people living in a house together that are all the same of have something wrong with them
I’m excited about The Frame, and have been since the pickup was announced months ago. It’s something different, with a live 24/7 online component, and is far more in-touch with CW’s younger audience tech habits than, say, Shedding for the Wedding or Crowned (or even Top Model, for that matter).
I’ll reserve judgment on Re-Modeled, but as a guy, it just doesn’t sound like my thing. If the girls go for it, though, that’s what counts. I’m liking every move the network has made thus far. Many steps in the right direction, and this is only the beginning under the new leadership team. A bright future awaits.
The Frame does sound like a take off of Big Brother, Which I happen to like, So depending on where they get scheduled I may give it a look. “May” depends on my wife also…lol.
