Kevin Williamson and the duo of Josh Schwartz & Stephanie Savage may be getting their own nights on the CW next season. I hear Schwartz and Savage’s veteran Gossip Girl may be paired with a newly picked up series they produce, small-town medical drama Hart of Dixie, written by Leila Gerstein and starring Rachel Bilson. And the newly picked-up young witch tale The Secret Circle, which Williamson co-wrote and is executive producing with Andrew Miller, is rumored to get a lunch behind the CW’s top series The Vampire Diaries, which Williamson also co-created and is executive producing. Freshman Nikita, which ran behind Vampire Diaries this season, is expected to move to Fridays, paired with veteran Supernatural. That would give McG a night on the CW too as he executive produces both shows. I also hear One Tree Hill may be held as a backup.

Again… do you really need to be told the obvious? You answer your own question in the question. If it looks, smells, quacks and walks like a duck… it’s probably DEAD.
What are they going to pair 90210 up with?Ringer?That doesn’t sound right.
They’ll probably give Ringer the 8PM slot and have that lead into 90210, that’s probably better then having it the other way around.
Figured Nikita/Ringer would be a good pairing.
Hmmm, I figured The Secret Circle would be paired up with The Vampire Diaries. That was a given. Nikita and Supernatural would actually work really well together, I think. But, I don’t think Ringer can be paired with anything other than Nikita. So, I’m not sure how that’s going to work. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how it all turns out.
Why don’t they just pick up all of their pilots and do a whole reschduling thing? They NEED mid-season fillers. And comedies. Badly.

they are idiots if they do that. Gossip Girl has no business being paired with the sweet and charming Hart of Dixie. They should leave Monday as it is, make Tuesday OTH/Hart of Dixie, Weds Top Model/Reality, Thu Vampire/Secret and Fri Supernatural/Nikita.

I’d figured Nikita would be paired with Supernatural but figured Supernatural would be bumped up to 8:00, taking Smallville’s spot and then Nikita would come at 9:00 — those time slots would make more sense to me. And as far as OTH’s use as a backup being insulting… the fact that it’s even in it’s nineth season is an insult to the human race… show should’ve died a long time ago.
I totally agreed, a Ringer/Nikita Tuesday would be perfect.
But what else can they fit on Friday? Nothing really. Secret is new and won’t be launched on Friday, same with Ringer.
Dixe really only goes with OTH, so i guess the old show thats near the end, gets sacrified.
Dudes, the logic of putting Ringer in at 8pm on Tuesdays is that that’s Buffy’s old time slot. The Everwood-in-the-South vibe of Hart of Dixie makes it a better fit at 8pm rather than 9pm — yes, IMO, Everwood was an 8pm show that was mis-slotted at 9pm on Mondays, after 7th Heaven. With Ringer set for the Buffy slot at 8pm on Tuesdays, that leaves 8pm Mondays as the *only* available 8pm slot for Hart.
So the CW’s schedule seems to be headed toward something like the line-up below, with One Tree Hill being the * at 8pm on Wednesdays due to the possibilty of being held back until midseason. In which case, a random reality show will start in that slot in the fall.:
8pm –> 9pm
MONDAYS: Hart of Dixie –> Gossip Girl
TUESDAYS: Ringer –> 90210
WEDNESDAYS: *OTH/TBD –> Tyra Traumatizes Young Women With Eating Disorders
THURSDAYS: Vampire Diaries –> Secret Circle
FRIDAYS: Nikita –> Supernatural
Would also prefer Ringer/Nikita preferably on Tuesday. Moving Nikita to Friday doesn’t bother me but it’s a 9 pm show. Is Supernatural gonna work in the 8 pm slot?
