EXCLUSIVE: Entertainment One Filmed Entertainment closed a North American distribution rights deal for A Novel Romance, the Allie Dvorin-directed pic that stars Steve Guttenberg, Shannon Elizabeth and Milena Govich, with Morris Levy producing. The deal was worth mid six-figures. The film’s international rights were acquired by New Film. All of this happened right after the picture premiered as the closing-night film of the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival. The deals were made by WME Global, and the film will be released later this year.

Saw this expecting a stinker, and it was really sweet and well done…guttenberg is so damm likeable in this, he deserves a comeback
A really great movie from a talented writer and director.
The movie may be good but that is the worst publicity still I’ve ever seen.
Saw it the last night of fest. Wasn’t expecting much but guttenberg’s still got it. Very likable film. Very well done. People don’t make films for adults anymore, so I’m looking forward to what this writer/director does next
Guttenberg nailed this one! I expected silly and I got solid. His portrait of a “Mad Man” turned novelist was heartwarming and real.
Is that Steve Guttenberg or Corbin Bernsen?
you gotta give it up for Guttenberg’s agents posting all these comments on a saturday
I expected a stinker and guess what? A stinker.
6 figure deal? see, americans still can make movies that are not expensive.
Steve guttenberg still looking good after all these years.
Worst I’ve seen in 23 years. Really? Really.
Such a lovely, well-crafted film. One of the best of all time.
Really best of all time? It’s not even the boot,s best work. He’s great in it though. I,d like to see him do more drama.
A nicely directed movie that makes you laugh, care and cry. What more could you want.
Saw this at the indie fest . There was a lot of buzz and press for what I thought was an okay movie. Watchable, enjoyable but not memorable. Overall an 8 out of 10 .
