A show about antiques on Fox?! The network has greenlighted Buried Treasure, a new unscripted series starring antiques experts and appraisers Leigh and Leslie Keno (identical twin brothers of Antiques Roadshow fame), who travel across the country to help people sell collectibles lying around their homes. The series, from ITV Studios America, was created by Joe Livecchi (What Not to Wear), who is exec producing with Paul Buccieri, Tim Miller, Leigh Keno, Leslie Keno and Tim Eagan.

Why should cable have all the inexpensive to produce fun with shows like American Pickers and Pawn Stars?
Sounds like “Cash in the Attic” from the UK.
THIS show will be MUCH different from Cash in the ATTic ,,,,,more drama…and I have heard, MUCH higher values…some people end up getting over 80 thousand dollars…and really get a boost on things.
How is this going to be different from “Antiques Roadshow” or “pawn Stars”???
The Kenos will investigate, appraise and then will help people to sell the items — in many cases changing people’s lives for the better in a meaningful way.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz tv. But it’s cheap to produce!!!
Sounds more like a cable show than a broadcast show but Mike Darnell is the best in the business.
On Fox? They dumped shows like The Chicago Code, Human Target and Lie To Me for a glorified combination of Antiques Roadshow and Cash in the Attic? Mr. Murdoch is pinching one too many pennies these days. Why not get rid of ALL the scripted shows and save even more money?
Bob, First of all this is not a scripted show. It is a reality show. Nothing is scripted. The kenos find the treasures, identify them using cutting edge technology and then __IMPORTANTLY—help the owners to sell them —-! I know that it debuts August 24th at 8 PM and I am going to give it a chance. Fox’s Mike Darnell ( American Idol) is Rarely wrong.
I love old stuff. Antiques, records, my grandma. I can’t wait to see all the wonderful adventures of these two chaps finding old stuff. Tag me “excited!”
