Walton Goggins, coming off the superb second season of FX’s gritty drama Justified, has been set to star opposite Stephen Dorff and David Boreanaz in the Brian A. Miller-directed indie Officer Down. Once again, Goggins plays a dubious figure. Here, he’s the prime suspect in the sexual assault of a young woman, a case being investigated by a gruff detective (Dorff). Goggins will be seen this summer in the Jon Favreau-directed Cowboys & Aliens and also stars in Straw Dogs, the remake of the Sam Peckinpah revenge thriller that Screen Gems releases in September. He’s repped by APA and Darris Hatch.

I love seeing talented actors score roles. He’s such a great actor and his character on Justified is one of the best on the show; I’m glad they decided to keep him around.
This is guy is awesome. Fast becoming one of those actors I’d watch in anything.
He’ll still be around for Justified Season 3, though. Right? Right?
Love him. Amazing on the Shield, amazing on Justified, just incredibly talented. Brings a unique and fully committed performance every time.
Goggins, along with the rest of the cast, has made Justified one of the truly great television series which was honored with a Peabody Award this year.
I believe we will see many Justified cast members appearing in other projects…and, they deserve these rewards for their efforts.
Well done…and, I hope there are many more roles for these actors to play…but, I hope they remain with Justified as long as the show runs or until they get killed off within the story arc.
He’s a great actor, and I loved him on the Shield and Justified, but I think he’s almost always going to be typecast.
The way he looks and the way he sounds means his characters will always be shady and underhanded, as well as southern or a redneck.
So great to see Walton landing roles. One of my favorite actors in the game right now. He was overlooked for an Emmy for his amazing work on the final season of The Shield, hopefully the academy rectifies that with a nod for Justified. Best part of the show.

I had the good fortune of running into Walton wandering around LACMA right after “The Shield” ended. Really nice guy. I told him what an amazing job he did in the final season, and he told me about a mysterious new project for FX he was working on. Glad he clued me in! Margo Martindale is also amazing on that show, can’t wait to see more of her.
Walton Goggins is truly wonderful to watch. Anything he’s in I always plan on watching just to see him act. Great talent, and he’s been nothing short of AWESOME on Justified.
