EXCLUSIVE: Nathan Lane has signed with ICM, ending a long run at CAA. Lane had been at the agency most of the last decade, but his agent, Tony Lipp, exited recently to steer Anonymous Content’s talent department along with Doug Wald and Sandra Chang. Lane was just booked to star in Relativity Media’s Snow White film, and that gig was commissioned by CAA. He’s a good get for ICM. Lane’s a busy actor, and one of Broadway’s top talents.

Brilliant actor! ICM is lucky to have him, and he will be well-represented there.
I like Nathan Lane. I think one of the net works should develope a sitcom for him, I think it will be a hit. Put John Leguzamo, Nathan Lane, and Charlie Sheen to be roommates, and maybe Betty White as mom to one of them, and let them go at it. These guys are known for comedic timing as well and all big names….the show will be a HIT!
A “good get”? More like a “forget”. The general movie-going public still has no idea who this guy is; his only real fans are over 40 bridge-and-tunnelers or theater geeks, and we all know there’s no real money on stage, even on Broadway. CAA, while chuckling, is like “whatever man. laters”.
He’s a fantastic talent. Agents who are interested in talent and not just hawking ultra-commercial clients, rare as they are, appreciate that. Of course, I may have lost you since I’m talking about human feelings here, something a douchebag like you who treats people like playing cards clearly doesn’t have.
Falling asleep at the wheel with all these ICM signings…. wait, I forgot, all their clients are going to UTA.
What are you talking about ? Of course american audiences know who Nathan Lane is ! Have you seen the bank account of Adams Family after the run on Broadway? American cinema needs people like him to keep the “class” factor going. If he stays with Anonymous Content and the Lipp team; that dream will stay alive. Good job ICM, CAA should have kept him…
amazingly talented actor-i was lucky to work with him on MOUSHUNT
Lane has already signed with USA to do a one camera 30 min comedy. As for his not making money…he is the busiest and most highly paid actor on Broadway and while many movie audience members do not know his name, they certainly recognize his face from Birdcage and other movies. I am glad he is getting a fresh start at ICM. Hopefully, they will know what to do with him. The biggest problem most NY actors have is that these agencies have no idea how to leverage their talent.
