Relativity Media announced today that it will release its Untitled Raven Project, directed by James McTeigue and starring John Cusack, on March 9, 2012. The thriller stars Cusack as Edgar Allan Poe, who joins with a Baltimore detective (Luke Evans) to hunt down a serial killer using Poe’s works as the basis for a string of brutal murders. Trevor Macy and Marc D. Evans are producing for Intrepid Pictures alongside Aaron Ryder for FilmNation Entertainment, who brought the project to Intrepid. Galavis Films’ Jesus Martinez is executive producing.
Meanwhile, the company’s Untitled Farrelly/Wessler Comedy is slated for April 13, 2012. The film stars a large ensemble that includes Johnny Knoxville, Gerard Butler, Anna Faris, Seann William Scott, Hugh Jackman, Richard Gere, Uma Thurman and Halle Berry in a series of interconnected stories. Peter Farrelly, Charles Wessler, GreeneStreet Films’ John Penotti and Relativity Media’s Ryan Kavanaugh are producing. Executive producers are Tim Williams of GreeneStreet Films and Tucker Tooley of Relativity Media. Co-producers are Tom Gormican and Marc Ambrose. Rocky Russo and Jeremy Sosenko also serve as associate producers.
Relativity already has slated its thriller House at the End of the Street for Feb. 3, 2012.

untitled farrelly comedy? is that the one they tried unloading on Netflix and even they wouldn’t pick it up?!??
Heard Ryan K. showed clips from it at AmFar last year and no one laughed, so it must have been done for a while now. Even tried to auction off a walk on roll and the buyer flaked!
Yes, yes it is. The whole town and internet passed so it went to the studio that brought us Take Me Home Tonight.
Ahhhh, the Relativity haters come out fast these days. And again, I don’t understand why.
Say what you will, but Ryan stepped up to bankroll Farrelly’s (this is the thing that was once called Movie 43) when nobody else wanted to take a risk on a hard-R anthology. Haven’t seen it all… just a few of the bits… and it’s exactly what you’d expect: juvenile, obnoxious, and f’in hilarious.
Suspect it will actually do well. Though who knows. Regardless, actors and directors and writers and crew worked and laughed and got paid. I’m supposed to be mad about this?
Agreed. Who cares if the movie is total crap so long as people are getting paid!
Making good movies is for the birds, at Relativity they know what this bu$ine$$ is really about.
Ryan makes it hard not to root against him.
The Farrelly Bros.? How many bombs in a row have they had? The Farrelly Bros. are about as current to movie going audiences as Bill Cosby.
Nobody under 40 has any interest in seeing a Farrelly Brothers movie. And it’s people under 40 who drive box office, today more than ever. No one will see this Farrelly film either. Put a fork in ‘em; and in Reativity’s entire slate for that matter. Jeez, Ryan K. has poor judgment.
I hope that John Cusack does more mainstream films from now on like he used to. He is an underrated actor who has done some great films in his time. I have been disappointed with the direction that his career has gone in during recent years with some of his movies not being released properly or going straight to DVD or him just choosing the wrong projects.
Sylvester Stallone has also been trying to make a film about Edgar Allan Poe for a few years now so I am not sure what will happen with that project in light of this film.
Ugh, this is BS! They have a great script based on an wonderful book called Tunnels and what do they do?! NOTHING! I’m waiting for this adaptation since 2009 and all we got is a director and the screenwriters. Gosh, this REALLY could be a franchise as powerful as the Harry Potter one and Relativity is letting slip through their hands. Ugh.
