EXCLUSIVE: Welcome back Nadia! Shannon Elizabeth, who had been one of the last holdouts from the original American Pie cast, has signed on to appear in the upcoming Universal-produced fourquel, American Reunion. She will join her co-stars Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, Alyson Hannigan, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Chris Klein, Eugene Levy, Tara Reid, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Jennifer Coolidge and Mena Suvari who are all set to return. Elizabeth will reprise her role as Czech exchange student Nadia, which she played in the first and second American Pie movies. She is slated to start next week in Atlanta where the movie will be filmed. Harold & Kumar writers Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg penned the script and are directing American Reunion, which will feature the gang returning to East Great Falls for their high-school reunion. Craig Perry, Chris Moore and Warren Zide are producing, with Chris and Paul Weitz exec producing. That ’70s Show alumna Elizabeth is with Buchwald/Fortitude and Steve Greener.

If they’re billing this movie as a reunion of the whole cast, they *really* need to get Natasha Lyonne back. I don’t want more of the American Wedding crap where they pretended half the cast never existed.

well thank god for this, where would this franchise be without her incredible depth as a preformer? Give me a break.

I’m guessing required nudity is what kept her the lone hold out for so long. Either the money got good enough to justify the nude scene, or the producers would rather have her clothed then not at all. We’ll find out.
Believe it or not, she’s a big enough name (especially to the series), to not be required to do nudity. They probably wanted it, but she probably balked.
yeah, she’s a HUGE name. Between her residual checks for Night of the Demons and her huge weekly rake for table play at her house poker parties, she had had the producers by the short and curlys during negotiations.
Balk at this… I promise her costume budget will not exist. What else does the character do in the series besides get naked. The accent? The acting? Has she said a single funny line in the series? It’s all about the tatas.

Well it’s not like she was busy doing anything else. This really does sound like a step-down for Jason Biggs and Seann William Scott who have both worked so hard over the years to move on from this series. The plot as revealed so far sounds like a bunch of pathetic thirtysomethings pushing fortysomething who are trying to one-up the young people around them. Kind of like watching the drunk nerdy girl make a fool of herself with the onetime school stud then get drunk and fall in the empty pool.
This is going to be the best part 4 since scream 4. Or pirates 4. Or Indiana jones 4. Oh wait. Part 4′s are Fuckin’ Heinous!

You can’t do this reunion without natasha Lyonne period. They have to just be waiting to announce it. I saw her in a play in nyc last year and she was BRILLIANT!

I had no idea Warren Zide was even in the busines anymore. What happened to that promising career? Actually, I think this is an embarrassment for all involved – cast, producers….by signing on you’re basically saying, “Hey, I cannot get any other work. Let me back on the one thing I did that turned out decent.”
