UPDATE: So an idiot publicist can’t distinguish between Brazilian actresses even though they’re a generation apart and Alice Braga is the niece of Sonia Braga. It’s the former who’s confirmed for Neill Blomkamp’s latest project Elysium. The filmmaker won’t provide any details on the character she’ll play, but the actress will join the District 9 writer/director’s already-cast stars Jodie Foster and Matt Damon.

She’s great…very cool they now have two Brazilians in the cast. Alice and that awesome actor Wagner Moura from the Elite Squad films. Excellent cast they have so far!
Based upon those 3 names alone & a really well written ( fingers crossed) original screen play, I can honestly say that~ Elysium~ would already completely have my attention from day one.
I was wondering why Neil had made such an odd casting choice,,,
