Syfy announced today that it has ordered a fifth season of its investigative reality series Destination Truth, which has kicked off production on seven episodes that will premiere early next year. The series, hosted by world traveler Josh Gates, is executive produced by Brad Kuhlman for Ping Pong Prods. Gates and Erin Ryder are co-executive producers.

Congrats to them. They are the nicest of people.
Ugh… I want SGU back! Endless reality crap….
….Yes, i am very bitter!
Hear, hear!
This show isnt to bad, but Syfy(shudder) has to be the worse network out there, wrestling cheese monster movies, paid programing, lol, seriously this network is unwatchable and a true competetor is needed
cant believe it.
this show is terrible and its the same thing over and over.
night vision!!
omg what was that???
run!!!
i guess its real real cheap to make.
Agree with Jack Bayliss — since the ridiculously stupid re”branding” of this channel to the ridiculous “Syfy”, it’s become unwatchable. Reality science fiction is stretching believability farther than space travel through a bubble wand. Somebody put the channel out of its misery.
I agree with bayliss above, Destination Truth isn’t a bad show – I like it as an interesting travel look at exotic locales and whether they find the truth (that may or may not be out there) is a plus, but their rapport and where they go is what keeps me watching. Otherwise, SYFY is indeed an incredible mess I still remember a time, not that long ago, when I looked forward to several SF shows on that channel. Now there a mish mash of generally terrible programs, capped off by not only Wrestling of all possible terrible programs to throw in that mix, but those incredibly bad, dull, poorly acted, written directed Saturday films – all of which apparently are supposed to be so bad they’re funny, but since they’re all bad, and all very very bad, they aren’t funny or entertaining at all. I miss SGU, SG1 and SGA – all of which could have been saved instead of cancelled. I can’t stands what SyFy apparently regards as their saving series – Warehouse 2092 or whatever. Not a bad concept, but terrible acting and another mish mash of previous hits. So, what do I watch on that channel now Nothing – I am so sick of Realty shows – Destination Truth only has 7 episodes for its season, and an occasional GH. So, I guess I won’t tune in to anything there for a few months.Goodbye SYFY Too bad you struck down SG1 and the other SGs
I love this show. Glad to see it renewed but I wish there were episodes once a week for 9 months and lots fewer re runs.
The host of this show is really mean. He makes fun of people and thinks he is cool when he does it. It is really offensive. He is just a big jerk off and needs to get a taste of his own medicine.
I love this show! besides the ghost and monsters, it is a nice window to another countries and I enjoy that it lets you see some of the culture and interactions with the people of that particular country. I don’t think that Josh is mean. I am from another country and I think that sometimes people get offended in America out of things that not be taken seriously. At least where I come from nobody takes those things so seriously since he is not insulting. I am glad that Josh and his crew is back!!!
I really miss this Josh, Rider and the fearless team. DVR’d every show. When they are searching for the Paranormal, I absolutely can’t miss it! They are the most adventurist, funny and entertaining team of researchers on TV. I think Josh is a fun person to take these misterious trips with, having no Holiday Inn around the corner. His team seems to enjoy him and that they always stop for fun along the way. The mistery is as interesting as the food and people at each Port. I wish they would do more paranormal in which he has done on this show and with the Ghost Hunters. I think that everyone they did, they actually found something. Can’t wait to watch them again. I loved the one they did on Easter Island, also the one with the dolls, and the Enchanted Forest. So many good ones. But I agree with the fact that everyone says they don’t find anything with the Bigfoot and creature ones. So I would like to see them do all paranormal. Be Safe out there!
I have to agree with you and many others, I love watching Destination Truth and some of the other paranormal shows on the SYFY network, I do enjoy the wrestling ocasionally and my nephews love Wrestling. But I must say they need to do more than 7 episodes in a season, What do you watch the other 45 weeks in a year, lol. I also liked Jael and she is part of another show now I watch, but I always thought they had a great team with her.
where does all the money come from to send these people all over the world to never find anything.
