Toby Jones has joined The Hunger Games, playing the host/narrator of the games alongside Stanley Tucci. The Lionsgate film is just about cast up. It’s set for a March 23, 2012 release. Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth star. Jones will next be seen in Captain America: The First Avenger, and Steven Spielberg’s The Adventures of Tintin. He’s now filming the ITV miniseries Titanic, which will air next year on ABC.

Speaking as a fan of the books, we are all wondering if Toby is Cladius Templesmith. The person who announces everything in the arena, such as the feast where Katniss got the medicine for Peeta, after drugging him and running off. And most people are doubting any official press release, for today, because with the major role of Cinna just given to us.
The cast that the producers are putting together is pretty strong. However, am I the only one starting to get overloaded with all of the casting news? At first it was great marketing for the project; now I’m getting bored and perhaps even losing my interest because I’m inundated with it all.
When are the Battle Royale people going to sue? Or have they already been paid off?
They won’t sue, if they do they’ll be called out for the shit they ripped off. The Battle Royale fans are hilarious, because by calling it a ripoff they’re admitting they’ve never heard or read Lord of the Flies, Shirley Jackson’s The Lottery, The Running Man, The Long Walk Home, and I’m sure about a dozen other stories. Get over it, guys!
