yeaaah, because NCIS is known for its depth and that CBS is pretty much the same thing as Showtime.

Really? I thought looked great. More like “24″ or Bourne or “Over There” rather than NCIS. And, with Claire Danes, Damian Lewis and Mandy Patinkin. It should do very well. Hat’s off to HBO and Showtime for continuing to crank out great stuff.
Regrettably, don’t have Showtime so will need to wait to see.

I agree, the premise bores me too – but this is first time in a while a television show raised an eyebrow of my interest based on the cast alone. It’s usually difficult for me to take my eyes off Damian on screen. That red hair/blue eyes combo and, of course, he’s very talented, as are Claire and Mandy.

No, the premise is ‘Has this soldier been turned into a terrorist.’ Very different.

Showtime pleas do one more Sleeper series. So all of fans can have a third act that concludes the story.

I was a huge Sleeper Cell fan and was very disappointed that it was canceled with the cliff hanger! Like George, I’d also love to see one final season with Oded Fehr and Michael Ealy going toe to toe. Along with Dexter, SC was one of my favorite Showtime series ever. Excellent writing and acting and beautifully shot.

Sounds… really boring. Terrorists can join zombies and vampires as overdone characters.

. . . and from the same bright bulbs who gave us “24,” torture institutionalized (and “defended” of course) as national policy and the trillion + $ gigadebacle “war of national liberation” in Iraq; can’t wait for the bloody ideas this one spawns, but like “24″ it will no doubt leave the love me I’m a liberal show biz kids on the edge of their seats, along with the other gullibles and easily terrifieds.

nothing new here. go back to your period piece shows
Wow, Showtime took Mandy back? I wonder if there is a neurotic clause in his contract?

Wow! This looks really bad…the voice over guy sounds like he’s in a SNL skit, the acting seems over-the-top and the subject matter seems really tired.

Mandy Patinkin will give us a brilliant performance in this Showtime vehicle. He will develop a character that is poignant and intriguing, and we will eagerly await his appearance in the next installment.
Then, “something” will come up and he will suddenly depart his role, leaving the show and his fans scrambling to fill the void.
wow – bad move. depressing and neurotic cast. Bring back Bob Greenblatt

From the minute I read the script this is totally just a network series- likely Fox. Nothing wrong with that but its not Showtime material- not loud enough, characters are cookie cutter, its not fast paced or different enough. Nothing in anything I have seen or read says Showtime to me. Thought it was a weird pickup.
I think it looks pretty good. Claire Danes can be good, Damian Lewis can be great. Mandy is Mandy – he can be all over the place. The whole thing feels very Manchurian Candidate-ish, but updated for the current war. I hope it works.
Oh, goody, another “we are the terrorists” show. Hasn’t NCIS already beaten this plot device to hell enough for the next decade?
