• I like Dave, but he and the show honestly haven’t been funny since around 1999 or 2000.

  Maybe it was around his heart surgery time, I remember when he was the funniest damn person on the planet…wonder what the hell happened?

• Being an a-hole in one’s personal life is not a criminal act. The woman involved never brought suit and no one has alleged any criminal behavior except for internet trolls.

  Dave still does the best interviews of anyone in Late Night, with the possible exception of Craig Ferguson, who has the freedom afforded by no one really watching.

  And this was perfect for what it was — a harmless gag for the upfronts.
