In one of the highest-profile talent signings for CBS News’ new regime, CBS has landed one of MSNBC’s most prominent reporters, Norah O’Donnell. She has been named CBS News’ Chief White House Correspondent and will become the principal substitute anchor for Face the Nation, which is anchored by CBS News’ Chief Washington Correspondent Bob Schieffer, and will report for all CBS News programs, including occasionally for 60 Minutes. O’Donnell joined NBC News in 1999. She has been the Chief Washington Correspondent for MSNBC and a contributing correspondent for NBC’s Today and Weekend Today as well as a co-anchor of the 9 AM hour of Today. She also appears regularly on The Chris Matthews Show.

Congratulations! She deserves it.
Great Snag!
MSNBC is taking a dive in the ratings, it’s geting beat by HLN. CBS News isn’t a huge ratings winner either, but I guess it’s better then NOT being seen on MSDNC, where the truth went to die.
Faux News already killed Truth.
Faux News. How clever and original.
But oh, so accurate.
Fox News is the ONLY network that tells the TRUTH! Wake up, morons!
Dang.
I was hoping she would replace Guthrie on Daily Rundown.
Chuck Todd needs help.
He’s
Why would she want to play “the eye candy” in support of chuck Todd?
I also was hoping she would join Chuck Todd. They’re both really smart and would make a good team. But this is obviously a much better move for her…I see a primetime news anchor job in her future. Congrats Nora!
LESS (FOR SHAREHLDERS) MOONVES WHERE WERE YOU 5 YEARS AGO? SHE WOULD HAVE DONE AS WELL OR BETTER THAN KATIE. O’DONNELL IS BRIGHT, SHARP AND GOOD LOOKING.
Wow. Terrific hire. Norah O’Donnell is top-notch.
I will miss seeing her on MSNBC/NBC News, but I’m sure she will be great on CBS.
Norah is a goddess.
Another interesting NBC exodus in the wake of the sale to “Cabletown.” Norah was way under used, as have been several other bright stars at NBC news who have taken a powder in the last 18 months. She landed a great gig, and I wish her well.
At this point, I will not be surprised if Lauer bolts next year.
No loss. Isn’t she the same one who tweeted that our president was killed instead of Osama Bin Laden? Yes, maybe Osama and Obama are similar in spelling but they are world’s apart in meaning — and a prominent journalist shouldn’t make that terrible mistake. So, maybe she can learn a few things at CBS about checking tweets before you hit the send button!
She has one of the best laughs in the world. Besides all of her attributes she has a great sense of humor.

Great pickup by CBS News. They need all the help they can get with their news division so maybe this is the first step to a better product overall. Time will tell, that’s for sure.
Great news for Norah! Congratulations….looking forward to seeing a lot more of you on CBS!
