So the world’s #1 television franchise is CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. The CBS/CBS TV Studios/CBS Studios International/Jerry Bruckheimer TV show was presented with the International Television Audience Award for a Drama TV Series at the 51st Monte Carlo TV Festival. It’s the fourth time that the series has been given this honor in the past six years based on stats from Eurodata TV Worldwide for the highest ratings worldwide in 2010 across five continents. This fall, the show is moving to Wednesdays on the U.S. network for the first time in its 11 years on air.

And everyone are like – why won’t they cancel it, it’s so boring, stories are not what they used to be….. They will not cancel it because it sells good to other countries.
And I think that main reason why they didn’t cancel Fringe despite very bad ratings is the fact that Fringe is a big hit in another countries and it sells very well there too. Remember how long Charmed was on air? Because it was huge hit overseas. It had millions of fans.
I like CSI & Fringe, but is being a success overseas a good reason to keep something on TV over here?
Of course if it makes money…
CSI and Fringe are miles apart in quality though. CSI used to be a great show with a strong cast, now it’s a shell of it’s former self.
I hope your talking about Las Vegas, cause if it’s Miami we might as well give up now.
CSI Miami WAS the #1 in the world in 2006.
Fantasy world
I thought it was “Kitchen Nightmares”.
I thought it would have been 90210.
here, in France, we like very much this serie
12 seasons is not enough
cancel it please! bring back Stargate universe. this CSI stuff is whats ruining the industry.
If there was a chance “Stargate:Universe” would make money, MGM and it’s new bean-counters would have continued it.
Why is Europe so in love with crime procedurals? I used to think they had some taste over on the other side of the pond.
I think their international appeal and success also has something to do with the locations of Las Vegas and Miami, two of the most visited American cities by foreign tourists.
I love the CSIs, except Miami. Hate Miami with a passion. The man is an idiot.
Vegas is, as someone upthread said, a shell of its former self. Now that Mr Fishburne is going, I think the only way it will redeem itself is to get William Petersen back to the fold, but I feel that will cost Mega-$$$$$$s.
Glad NY is coming back, though I have a feeling this will be the last season.
Hate Miami. Did I mention that?
JERRY! JERRY! JERRY! JERRY!
I hate every CSI… it’s a crapp serie i am from Portugal.
