DreamWorks and Disney have moved the opening of the Kathryn Stockett bestselling novel adaptation The Help to Aug. 10. They’ll open it Wednesday instead of its original Aug. 12 Friday date to make a long weekend out of it and take advantage of word of mouth. The Tate Taylor-directed film stars Emma Stone and Viola Davis.

I hope viola davis finally gets her oscar.
Dear Dead Line New York
I had the honor of shooting the still photography for Dreamwork’s film of Kathryn Stockett’s
book ‘the help’. Despite the heat and horrific humidity of the Mississippi Summer of 2010 all of the thespians were most collected and calm and cool and … most cooperative. It must have
been the Sweet Tea or the Gold Bond Powder.
The interiors were air conditioned . The snaking air ducts were as big around as Fatty Arbuckle’s belly .
Yet the ladies still had a glow. Which the Director, Tate Taylor, wanted. Many of the crew , me included, changed to dry clothes at lunch. Which were again drenched by Afternoon Sweet Tea
time.
The film is a fine film. A labor of love for all involved. It will be a film to reckon with come the awards season.
If you use my pictures again along with an article. Please… It is customary to give the photographer, that’s me, photo credit along with Dreamworks.
thanks
