Patrick Aiello, longtime exec veep of creative affairs and production for Ashok Amritraj’s Hyde Park Entertainment, is leaving after eight years. A Hyde Park spokesman said his contract wasn’t renewed. Aiello joined in 2003 in a producing deal that transitioned into the creative post. Aiello’s credits at Hyde Park include Street Fighter, The Other End of the Line, Asylum and The Double. Hyde Park has three films in post production through its $250 million joint venture with Imagenation–Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, Lost Christmas and The Double–and Hyde Park/Imagenation is finalizing a large deal with a Chinese media company through its Sinagpore offices.

I’m expecting big things from Patrick after this. True stand-up and guy and really knows his stuff. Excited to see where he ends up.
You do mean someone else surely.
This guy has the creative brain of a gnat coupled with the misguided self belief of most talentless executive.
I’m expecting obscurity.
so which project of yours did he pass on?
Bad guess – muppet.
One of the smartest execs around who was always slumming it at Hyde.
A real pro. Extremely smart, great character, excellent taste, and a wicked sense of humor. Sky’s the limit for Patrick.
Good to see him out of there.
Really good guy and always a pleasure to deal with.
total class act-honest-hardworking-and unselfish with his ideas-cant wait to work with him again-alan riche
Patrick is one of the smartest and most committed producers I’ve ever worked with. A real asset in the movie business.
Nothing but good things to say about Patrick. Whoever is lucky enough to snatch him up is getting a real all-star.
Much better times ahead for — and many better films to come from — this insightful, talented, ethical executive and producer who’s had his [steady] hands tied up, and his [good] taste tied down, for way too long.
I couldn’t agree with you more. Slumming it describes HP perfectly. And BTW, what Singapore office? HP rents an office for Yee-Yeo to sit in! … that’s the extent of the office. I was just there at ScreenSingapore.
One of the most decent guys I’ve ever encountered in the biz. I’m sure he’ll land on his feet and thrive.
I’m glad to see Hyde Park finally wised up. This guy is awful.

Patrick is one of the most proactive, tenacious, honest and creative young producers out there. Hyde Park was fortunate to benefit from his efforts for as long as he was there. He accomplished so much for the company with limited resources at his disposal. For whatever it is worth, he has my highest recommendation.
Putting down the company one works for in order to “pump them up” merely shows that the person commenting simply has no other way to compliment the individual they are trying to compliment. Therefore, what they are really doing is putting that person down.
I didn’t know the comment section was made for taking cheap shots at a company. I notice no one except for a few who had poignant comments about why Patrick is a good exec actually cared to use their real name.
I find it hard to believe those of you who say someone is great but the company they work for is not. If Patrick had quit that was one thing, but the article states he was let go. If he was so great and Hyde Park was so bad, surely he would have quit, not been let go.
They both suck. They were a perfect match.
