Singularity also means the point which humans and computers mesh. Roland does Terminator. Destruction style.
A definite must-Redbox-release! Can’t wait!!!
It’s a shame the world will have come to an end by then according to the last crappy movie he made.
You might not like his movies and they certainly aren’t classics, but he’s made movies that have brought millions of dollars into the studios who produce them and that helps get other movies made and it feeds the beast. If you work in the business, this is a good thing. Yeah, Sony could be making a different movie instead of this one, but can you blame them from wanting this kind of proven money-maker on their slate with a global event movie?

It’s about the astrophysical singularity. In an interview for his upcoming Gerard Butler-Rachel McAdams rom-com, Emmerich said, “Staying on a low budget allows me to be more creative and keep my eye simple. On an unlimited budget, I might get carried away and show the whole universe collapsing into a singularity.” Clearly, it was on his mind.
It’s official- another piece of crap!
2012 was very fun, and the vfx were amazing. Hating on Emmerich at this point is small-minded. I suspect many of the haters now were the same tools cheering when Will Smith punched the alien back in the day.
2012 was fun? How the F did u sit thru that?
Singularity has been in the making for nearly a decade now. Aishwarya Rai was attached to the project along with Brendan Fraser initially. Not sure how interesting this project is going to be from a Western market perspective, could do okay in Europe but i dont see it doing anything spectacular either in India or the US.
Good luck Roland.
Oh! Wow! Singularity, How much is its budget?
I hope this film is a hit for whoever owns Sony Pictures in 2013.
