Alcon Entertainment co-founder Andrew Kosove, Appian Way co-chairman Jennifer Davisson Killoran, The Kids Are All Right executive producer J Todd Harris and French producer Vera Belmont are among the names selected for the jury of the Golden Trailer Awards, which honors movie promotion with kudos for trailers, posters and TV spots. The awards will be handed out June 29 at a ceremony at the Music Box Theatre in Los Angeles. The other jury memebers: Bobby Bedi, head of mini-studio Kaleidoscope in Mumbai and VP of the Film and TV producers’ Guild of India; Vernon Chatman, best known as the voice of Towelie on South Park but also a writer-producer and stand-up comedian; Claus Czaika, CEO of EuroVideoBildprogramm and a leading independent film distributor in Germany; Amy Hobby, a film and TV producer whose credits include Sundance jury prize-winner Secretary; Sherif Mandour, an independent producer and director of half-a-dozen Egyptian films; Axel Niehaus, a Grammy-winning recording and mix engineer; and Bernhard Stampfer, an international media financier who previously headed Deutsche Bank’s Expert Team for Telecommunication, Media and Technologies.

Exciting to see awards for the voices, spots and promo items that are instramental in selling tickets get their own night to shine! Congrats on a great jury line up.
The total absence of posts on the Trailer Awards probably reflects the audience interest in yet another awards event.
I think the art of making trailers does warrant recognition…but, it doesn’t seem to be getting much traction if the response to this story is any indication.
Super cool. Trailers make or break the industry (even more than critics). It’s an art that deserves an award. I’d watch it on TV.
I love watching Trailers! What a great idea! Sound like fun!
I’m so excited for this year’s awards! Keep highlighting all great trailers (which are better than the movies most of the time now).
Trailers totally hook us! What a great idea to celebrate the people who tease in 15 to 30! And storytell in 1 to 1:30! And to this group that runs the GTA with heart and soul! way to go!
I’ve seen some great trailers this summer. I would definitely watch a show on the best part of going to the movies! Count me in!
Judging panel less adept & prestigious as years pass.
