EXCLUSIVE: Justified co-star Natalie Zea has signed a new deal to continue on the acclaimed FX drama series, which has been renewed for a third season. Additionally, she has been tapped for a recurring role on the Showtime comedy series Californication. Zea was a guest star in the pilot for Justified, playing the ex-wife of Timothy Olyphant’s US Marshall Givens. She was upped to regular right after the pilot with a two-year deal, which was up at the end of the show’s second season, which wrapped last month. In addition to her co-starring role on Justified and her upcoming arc on Californication — where she will play a new love interest for star David Duchovny – Zea, repped by UTA and manager Robert Semon, guest starred in the pilot for J.J. Abrams/Jonah Nolan’s upcoming CBS series Person of Interest. He recent credits also include an arc on HBO’s Hung and a role in the feature comedy The Other Guys.

They should have dropped the awful Natalie Zea and given Joelle Carter more to do. I’m not sure if it’s the actress or the character she plays that I hate, but it’s always a letdown when she appears onscreen.

Natalie Zea is a gifted character actress ( she can easily do comedy & drama ) , and she seems to keep getting better with every role . When I saw her naughty and wicked performance in ” Dirty Sexy Money “, I became a huge fan.

Natalie Zea is a horrible actress and her character is even worse. I wonder if the rumors about her and Timothy Olyphant are true and that’s why her role was increased last season? On all the Justified message boards, her character is despised by most fans and her coming back won’t be popular with the majority of the show’s fans.
Don’t be a jerk. She’s a good actress and has a long term boyfriend who she is super close to.
Eh, I was hoping she’d go the way of Rachel Nichols on Criminal Minds. Part of it is what she’s been given—the found money arc would have been tough for anyone to sell—but in general I think the the show is more interesting when Joelle Carter is the main romantic interest.
The only reason people often say Justified season 2 was “near-perfect” is because of her story arc. I really hope they reevaluate her character and make her more than just the nagging girlfriend that wants Raylan to quit his job.

I’ll be interested to see how she works out on Californication – now I’ll be able to see if it’s the character of Winona or the actress herself I don’t like. Gotta be honest though, I’d have preferred a different actress be cast as a new ‘love interest’ for Hank.
Zea is so damn attractive, it almost gets in the way of some serious acting chops. The more we see of her, the better.
She’s a lovely actress, and I wish her well. But having said that, she is the only character on Justified that seems to drag the show down, and her storyline arc this season was a huge problem in an otherwise amazing year.
A woman this beautiful who can also do comedy (she can) should have a feature career.
I’m happy she’ll be back on Justified. Natalie Zea’s Winona brings out the personnal side of Raylan and I am looking forward to seeing what the writers will do with them next season.
I agree they should have dropped her. She is the downer of the show is not talented whatsoever. Everytime she comes on the screen I fast forward because I can’t stand her, the storyline and Raylan with her. She is a nagging bitch and Natalie Zea needs to go back to daytime where she started on Passions. God she sucks!
She held out knowing that she could get alot of money because Timothy Olyphant is sleeping with her and could make his life pretty messy right now even though he is only wife his wife for the kids sake. He is philanderer and she is the actress know in hollywood that sleeps with the main characters to get a job. She has no talent and that is another reason why Timothy Olyphant is pushing her in every interview he has. Look at the way the stay away from each other and how awkward they are together when the entire group is together. Nice that the show is being turned into a soap opera because he is f*cking his leading lady
Personal side? He is a wimp! He has no spine and no damn balls. She walks all over him. No woman is worth that kind of humilation. it goes the opposite way too. Helen humanized him not Winona!
Well I know I’m happy about this news. I love Raylan and Winona and can’t wait to see what the writers do with them (and everyone else) in season 3.
I’m with you. Don’t know what is wrong with the rest of these so-called fans. I tune in mostly to watch Natalia. Like the character and love checking her out.
