USA Network’s light legal drama Suits got off to a solid ratings start last night, especially on the demo side, drawing 4.6 million viewers, 2 million of them in the adults 18-49 demographic. That is only 3% down in the demo from USA’s summer premiere last year of Covert Affairs. Versus USA’s most recent series debut, the midseason launch of Fairly Legal, Suits was up by double digits, 47% in 18-49. Suits held onto a large chunk of its lead-in, the fifth-season premiere of Burn Notice (5.2 million, 2.3 million in 18-49), which was down from last summer’s record-breaking fourth-season premiere (6.6 million, 2.6 million in 18-49) but up by double digits from the winter debut.TV Editor Nellie Andreeva - tip her here.

Maybe Undercovers failed because it was a mediocre show. How many shows with white leads die on the vine each year? Ten or more I’d imagine yet nobody stops making shows about whiney white rich white guys. It’s never, there’s no audience for white people. It’s those shows sucked.
They all some “unique’ ability that makes them wittier than all of us and yet they function on the fringe. This is what television would be if it was all written by executives in a board room.
I really like the new series “Suits”.However, if they use words G-d D-m one more time I will be forced not to watch. We are trying to teach our young people not to say words like that and along comes a new TV series and we hear it not once, but twice. I listened the second time and there it was again….What was said following would have made a better impact that it did him saying it. Please know that most people do not appreciate swearing nor saying words like was said. We need to pay more attention to how we want to impress young people. Thank you for lettig me “sound off”. I do hope you take this seriously.
Didn’t need a third uppity show about two lawyers in 9 months but this surprised me. The writing is clever and it looks to be above average for the summer prodecuderals. Plus any show that uses national enquirer review quotes in promos gets a laugh from me.
yes this show has two white leads. alot like most of the shows on television today. i happen to love THIS show. and think both lead actors are exceptional. and the ensemble cast of supporting actors which is NOT all white. is also exceptional. I remember a time when there no actors of any color on any of these shows. change takes times but it’s happening. instead of bitching about not being represented. why don’t you go and create a show as good as this one. and hire actors of color.

Not a fan of lawyer shows, but I was willing to try it. Nope. I turned it off about ½ way through. But for those who did like it, I’m glad it did well.
heard good stuff, kind of want to check it out now. The title didn’t exactly inspire me to watch it. Who wants to come home from work and watch a show called Suits.
The show is terrific. These two actors are off the chain. Wasn’t sure I was going to love it but it turned out to be really well done and funny and cool – USA’s sweet spot. Keep it up!

Terrible ad campaign. I’ve seen billboards and bus stop posters and haven’t the slightest idea what the hell “Two Lawyers. One Degree” means.

Two Lawyers. One Degree…..if you watched it you would know. One went to Harvard,the other didn’t go to law school. He is book smart with legalities.
The aspect of the one being able to remember everything he reads is unique. But the use of the Lord’s name in vain every other sentence is not.
I loved this show. I was surfing at the right time. I started to watch and got hooked. Great lead and supporting actors. Very funny and clever writing. Please keep it up and I will keep tuning in. Great job USA.
Loved the Suits Preem! While I find both leads very like able, i would really want to see more of the secretary. Even though she was only in a couple of scenes, she was the one i remembered after. (although patrick adams is not bad on the eyes)
I am addicted to this show already!! As a paralegal, Suits displays how law firms/lawyers tend to operate. The cast is awesome and I find myself watching the first two episodes over again.

I have 0 idea how race came up in this, but this is an excellent show. It is witty and entertaining. Can we please leave the race debate to more serious affairs…

I watch each episode twice its so good…I hope it gets re-newed for a few more seasons if the writting can hold up…And please, write a colored person into the script so people stop complaining about non-issues…jesus
I generally like legal shows, but I will not watch another episide that has swearing such as “GodDamn” term used 6 times in the first episode as well as at least once in the 2nd episode. I do not appreciate the pornographic nature of showing fornication on teh first episode. I will write to the sponsors of the show to let them know how I feel about it. Since 80% of Americans identify themselves as Christians, you better clean it up or say bye-bye.
