Ghost Hunters is already Syfy’s longest-running original reality series. Now the unscripted veteran is extending its run with an eighth-season pickup. The 20-episode eighth season will premiere on Syfy in 2012. To date, the current seventh season has averaged 1 million in adults 18-49. Since its 2004 premiere, Ghost Hunters has spawned two spin-offs, with over 200 episodes among the three series.

I don’t get it. These ghosthunters *never find a single damn ghost*. Yet people keep watching week after week. I weep for this generation.
To know weather they find anything or not means you must be watching the show yourself.
It is a shame the rest of SyFy’s original programming is based on the idea of cloning this show. Haunted furniture or fact of faked and whatever Josh Gates does are all crap compared to this show.

Amazing. Piligian should change his name to Houdini. How does a show run for 8 seasons without ever seeing a ghost. Just a bunch of geeks, shadows and bad sound effects.

An impressive feat. Piligian has crafted a show that consistently draws a crowd. Like it or hate it, it’s a success.
Stargate Universe barely get’s two seasons and this shit is up to eight! Sucks…. Always the same shit.
That’s because Stargate: Universe cost actual money to put on the air, and Ghost Hunters costs about $1.89… and it looks like it.
Bean counters ALWAYS win in the end.

I watch very little t.v. but i will never miss an episode of TAPS! Keep up the great work and continue to put more shows like it on, i may just become a coach potato lol!

They have had footage of full body apparitions and you can also hear clearly the voices of ghosts. A lot of the show is really interesting I think and I am glad its coming on yet another season
I have enjoyed Ghost Hunters. I look at this way, I can neither prove or disprove if there are ghosts, but I love to learn more. And Jay & Grant sure make it interesting
